FEATURES

If there is one single characteristic that distinguishes a BOBST die-cutter from any other it is the principle of matched rigidity embodied in our patented Autoplaten® design.No matter how much pressure is applied, a BOBST die-cutter will always require less patch-up and remain more stable during the run than any other – resulting in quicker set-ups, better product quality and fewer stops in production. To help achieve this, we use only the highest quality alloys for our platens, and apply the most modern

production methods, including the latest generation NC machining.

Our double cam gripper bar advance system assures extremely smooth sheet acceleration and deceleration. Each movement of the gripper bar is perfectly controlled – from sheet registration, through cutting, to stripping, and then on to the in-line blanking or full sheet delivery. The lowered stress on the sheet at each stage means that fewer nicks are needed, resulting in better quality of

your final product at higher speeds than can be achieved with any other type of die-cutter.

The continuous motion of the main drive of your Autoplaten® is converted into alternative motion by our unique sector drive system. Integrated into this is a tolerance-free locking system for the gripper bar chains. This allows the chains to lock into position at every machine station, without any vibration, giving highly accurate register, cutting, stripping, blanking and delivery.

C.U.B.E.3 – GETTING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MACHINEC.U.B.E.3 is the latest generation of this « man-machine » interface and, like its predecessors, has been developed by our very own in-house specialists. Now bigger, with a full color touch screen, C.U.B.E.3 gives you complete control of your BOBST machine, from setting and running a job, right through to detailed fault diagnosis. With its revolutionary Touch & Set navigation,even the most complex machine settings become completely intuitive, saving valuable minutes.

Some of the main settings carried out using C.U.B.E.3 are :• Cutting force limits• Total number of sheets per pile• Bernoulli sheet braking tablet• Quality control sensors.

THE CENTERLINE® SYSTEM – A BOBST PATENTThe BOBST Centerline® system, which is one of the more than 3000 patents that have been filed by BOBST, proves that when it comes to innovation BOBST is a world leader. Every BOBST Autoplaten® diecutter is equipped with this system and so your NOVACUT also reaps the benefits of this ingenious and unique tool alignment system. With Centerline®, both dedicated and standard tools can be pre-aligned outside the machine and, once the initial set up is done, job repetitions become what they should be – simple, quick and accurate operations. Centerline® radically reduces job preparation, changeover, and repeat times, and is more precise than any other tool alignment system available.
