The LSU football team hopes to finish the season strong and LSU Trademark Licensing will keep you informed about bowl game licensing information as it becomes available. Tiger Silhouette Program As you may know, LSU recently designed a new fashion mark we call the Tiger Silhouette. The design for this new mark was inspired by the tiger statues that sit outside various LSU Athletic facilities and Mike the Tiger’s habitat on the LSU campus. It’s important to note that the Tiger Silhouette was not developed to be on the LSU art sheet for all licensees and it will not be used by LSU Athletics in any way (i.e. it will not appear on any Athletic fields, uniforms, signage, websites, etc.). LSU has developed a niche fashion program for the Tiger Silhouette by creating a special license to use the mark. Participation in this special license program and approval for the use of the Tiger Silhouette mark on licensed LSU products has only been granted to five licensees: Cutter & Buck, Meesh & Mia, Pennington & Bailes, Peter Millar and Southern Tide. We have had a positive response to the program so far and will continue to evaluate the program to see if there are growth opportunities in the future.
