1 November 1, 2015 End Of Sales Announcement on xSec and PoE Licenses Aruba Networks is announcing end of sale of xSec License SKUs listed below. xSec is an older Layer 2 encryption technology that was built at a time when 802.11i was not FIPS-compliant. It has been used in customer deployments running ArubaOS 5.x and below and on legacy controller platforms, e.g. 6xx and 3xxx. This license is not supported on 7xxx Mobility Controller platforms. xSec license is being replaced with ACR license introduced with AOS 6.1. ACR delivers Suite B capabilities to Aruba Mobility Controllers. xSec support is included as a component of ACR license. By purchasing the ACR license, customers get both xSec and Suite B. PoE license is to enable PoE on 600 series Mobility Controllers ports. Since 600 series controllers have already gone EOS, this specific license is also included in this announcement.
