Lincoln Elem. students collected
28.2 pounds of can tabs which were taken to the Ronald
McDonald House in Cincinnati. The boys helped put the tabs in
the house pictured and were
added to the collection. The RMH uses the can tabs to pay their
electric bills for the house. Great job, Lions!
Four medical students
from ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine
visited the D-B Health Science classes last week.
Two of the students were
D-B’s own Adam Metzger (2009) and Michael
Stallard (2011). They spoke to the class about
medical school (preparation and admission) and the vast
opportunities for physicians.
In addition, they brought cadaver specimens (brain,
heart, eye, lungs, liver, and spleen). D-B Health Science
students learned the
structure and function of each specimen then were
able to examine each during a hands-on activity.
The Jefferson Elem.
Giving Tree Project was a success thanks to Jefferson
students and families for supporting the project!
