November 19/20, 2016 Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Senior Santa Please place the ornament tag and unwrapped gift(s) into a Christmas gift bag and enclose a signed Christmas card to your senior (first names only). Bring it back to church by December 4 and place it under the tree. Keep Christ in Christmas Cards Religious Christmas cards are available for sale after all liturgies this weekend, by Knights of Columbus to raise money for State Scholarship & Disaster Fund and Culture of Life Funds. Help keep Christ in Christmas by sending religious cards – an evangelization message from you. Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks. Thank you for all the graces and blessings. You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage. Our food and shelter, our health, the loves we have for one another, our family and friends. Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessing throughout the coming year. This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother. Amen. Pope Francis’ Five Finger Prayer The THUMB is the closest finger to you. So start praying for those who are the closest to you. They are the persons easiest to remember. To pray for our dear ones is a “sweet obligation.” The next finger is the INDEX. Pray for those who teach you, instruct you, and heal you. They need the support and wisdom to show direction to others. Always keep them in your prayers. The following finger is the TALLEST. It reminds us of our leaders. The Governors and those in authority. They need God’s guidance. The fourth finger is the RING finger. It is our weakest finger. It reminds us to pray for the weakest. The sick or those plagued by problems. They need your prayers. Last is the PINKIE. The smallest of all it should remind you to pray for yourself. When you are done praying for the other four groups you will be able to see your own needs in the proper perspective.
