We Say – These case look good, and there’s a jack at the top so you can listen to music whilst the phoneis inside the case, but the main things I was interested in was…can you operate your phone whilst it isinside, and is the case really waterproof?

The first query was easy to answer. Put the phone inside, seal the case, and there, the answer is yes,you can operate the phone whilst it is inside.

The second query took a leap of faith to test out. I-Phones are pricey, what if I put mine in the case andthe case let water in? I couldn’t afford a replacement…But then I thought about it, about how SealLine arewell known for producing good waterproof canoeing bags, and I thought I’d have faith.

Well, Ok, I am a careful person, so, not that much faith, first off…I tried it with paper inside first. Put thepaper in, sealed the case, poured a cup of water over it. I shook the case free of the drops and opened, tofind the paper dry. Nice.

With the phone then in the case I poured a glass of water over it. Then another. No water got in. To test itfurther, I took the phone out and put the paper back inside, then sealed the case and placed it in a bucketof water. After 15 minutes I took it out and found that the tissue paper was still dry.

So, great stuff. The case works, it doesn’t add much bulk to the size of the phone either. Perfect if youwant to take your phone into the great wet outdoors, or just want to keep it safe whilst walking about townin the rain.

The e-Series 13 is as above, only it’s smaller and fits Samsung® Galaxy Note®, Galaxy Note® II,portable game systems, and other valuables.*

We Say – I have been using the e-series 13 version of this casing over the last few years for my phone. The casing is completely waterproof and does not interfere with the operation of the phone at all, either fordialing, speaking or using the camera. Also it’s bright colour helps me find the thing after I’ve forgottenwhere it is, which is a frequent occurence when I’m setting up camp. These qualities makes it perfect forwhen I go canoeing and also hiking.

I did try the casing out as an everyday case so as to avoid keep changing cases, but that didn’t work outfor 3 reasons.

First, these cases aren’t bulky but they are more so than my everyday case. Second, they don’t offer asmuch protection if I drop the phone. And third, my regular case has an all round solid cover which stopsme dialing or operating the phone by mistake whilst it’s in my pocket. This one doesn’t. Yes, I couldprogram the phone so it needs a number key to unlock it, but I don’t need to do that with my regular case,so I don’t bother.

I have never tried out the larger cases for tablets, but I imagine it’s got the same build and functionalqualities as the smaller case. If you’re going on any sort of travel that might offer up the possibility of yourelectrical items getting wet, then these cases are invaluable.
