Wiegand, commander of the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air Nation- al Guard, located at Dane County Regional Airport - Truax Field in Madison. All Legion Family members are invited to attend the event. As com- mander of the 115th Fighter Wing, Colonel Wiegand is responsible for the organization, training, and equip- ping of nearly 1,200 active-guard and traditional forces serving the dual mission of state and federal responsibility falling under the Gov- ernor of Wisconsin and President of the United States. The 115th Fighter Wing operates the F-16C+ “Fight- ing Falcon” as its primary weapon system, as well as the RC-26B air- craft in the global Intelligence, Sur- veillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. Colonel Wiegand received his commission in 1989 after graduat- ing from the United States Air Force Academy. His past assignments in- clude flying duties at five US Air Force fighter wings. Previous commands include the 115th Maintenance Group, 115th Operations Group and the 176th Fighter Squadron. Colonel Wiegand deployed to the Iraqi Theater of Op- erations six times and led the 115th Fighter Wing Air Expeditionary Force Aviation package into combat in Iraq two times. He is a command pilot with over 3,300 flying hours, including over 3,000 in the F-16. At the conclusion of the Team- building Banquet the $1,000.00 Membership “Get One” Bounty drawing will be held. Midwinter Conference Banquet Speakers AnnouncedOn Saturday evening, January 17th,
