November is here
and we are so thankful for
the many blessings God has
given us. We will be asking
all our families to help us
with our November bulletin
board by sending in a family
picture. The children love to
talk about their family mem-
bers and we love to hear
them share their stories with
each other. Please feel free
to stop in to enjoy our bulle-
tin board when it is done.
We begin scissor skills
this month. This is an impor-
tant skill and the children will
have many opportunities to
practice as we prepare pro-
jects this month. Caution…..
their zeal sometimes leads to
a new self-inflicted “haircut”!
Letters T, L, I, S and
their corresponding sounds
will be featured this month.
Turkeys, leaf prints, and squir-
rels are just a few of the
projects we will be doing to-
gether. We will continue with
pre-math skills using numbers
1 through 5, one to one cor-
respondence and rote count-
ing. At the end of the month
all classes participate in a
Thanksgiving Feast. More
information to follow.
A parent-teacher con-
ference sign-up sheet is
posted outside our classroom.
If the conference dates are
not convenient for you we
can arrange a time to meet
or speak by phone.
Thank you for your
willingness to build a strong
home-school connection.

We have so much to
be thankful for and the Lord
loves to hear us thank Him.
This month provides the per-
fect opportunity to teach our
Teddy Bears about being
thankful to God for caring for
them. We will be learning
through books, songs and
fingerplays about the first
Thanksgiving and how God
cared for the Pilgrims. We
will be making “thankful tur-
keys” for our Thanksgiving
Feast on the 21st and 22nd
that will give the children an
opportunity to tell what they
are thankful for.
This month we will
continue learning our shapes
and numbers. You may hear
some Christmas songs that
we are learning for our con-
cert next month. As you can
see, we are very busy bears!
Thank you for mak-
ing sure to label all of your
child’s clothing, making it
