ASQLA Chair’s Message

November, 2016

Fellow quality professionals, greetings!

Congratulations on your career and your involvement and continual interest in ASQ and your ASQ Los Angeles section. As volunteer leaders, we pool our time and efforts to maintain our organization and assure that our membership participation yields valuable experiences. This is our mission and I repeat it so that we may always keep it in sight.

At the beginning of our October member meeting presentation, it was evident that TRIZ was a relatively new topic for most in attendance. Throughout the presentation, as concepts were introduced and clarified with interactive examples, it became clear that TRIZ can become intu-itive and be utilized as a powerful tool for quality professionals. Akhilesh has shared his presentation slides for the benefit of our membership; it is now accessible on www.asqla.org.

If you plan to come to the 9th Annual Southern California Quality Conference, don't wait, sign up today! Link to the event website is also available on the front page of www.asqla.org.

Our November member meeting is our last member meeting of 2016! We are wrapping up the year with a bang. Our November program will feature confirmation of nominated officers for 2017 as well as a panel presentation about "Selling Quality", with panelists including Dis-ney quality expert Mark Lindsey, international quality expert Milton Krivokuca, and 2016 Si Collier award recipient whom we will honorably announce at the meeting. Don't miss out. Come finish what you've started.

Stay informed, stay involved, keep voicing your feedback, and inquire about opportunities.

Cheers!

Alan Wang, MSQA, ASQ CQA ASQ Los Angeles Chair
