     New Jersey State USBC WBA held its 12th Hall of 

    Fame Induction Ceremony at the Forge Inn inWoodbridge NJ. Inducted for Superior Performance

    were Nichole Spratford Opsasnick and Tracey

    Stevens.

     Nichole who has been a member of the NJS USBC

    WBA for 16 years comes from a bowling family, com-

     peting in her first league more than 30 years ago.

     Nichole is well known in the bowling community and

    grew up bowling with her sisters, Michelle and Vicki,

     better known as the “Sprat Pack”. The “Sprat Pack”

    currently holds the record for the most 300 games

     bowled among sisters which is 22.

     Nichole has coached on the collegiate level, won a

    number of national and regional events and holds sev-

    eral state and local titles. Some of her accomplish-

    ments include the TNBA Reed-Hawthorne

    Tournament, the Bill Rhodman Eastern Classic, the

    Big Daddy, Big Guns Tournament, NJS USBC WBA

    Queens Title, NJS USBC WBA Singles Title, NJS

    USBC BA Doubles Title and four NJS USBC WBA

    Team Titles.

    On the local level, Nichole has competed in 6 dif-

    ferent locals achieving six All Events Titles in Morris,

    Bergen and Central Jersey, 8 Singles Titles in Morris,

    Bergen, Central and Monmouth counties and 5 Queens’stitles in Union and Hudson County. Nichole was the first

     bowler to shoot a 300 game in the annual tournament in

    Central Jersey and has 10 perfect games, 3 series of 800,

    with the highest being 836 and a high average of 232.

    Tracey Stevens began bowling in the junior leagues and

    credits her success to her mother who introduced her to the

    game of ten pins. Tracey is a member of Somerset

    Hunterdon WBA Hall of Fame for Superior Performance

    and her accomplishments include a NJS USBC WBA

    Queens Title and two NJS USBC WBA Doubles Titles.

    Tracey has competed on the Somerset Inter-County Top

    5 Team for 20 years. Locally she has 3 All Events Titles, 3

    Singles Titles, 3 Doubles Titles and 4 Team Titles. Tracey

    has bowled nine 800 series and eighteen 300 games. Tracey

    made history in the 2014 USBC National Tournament in

    Reno NV when she shot a perfect game in tournament com-

     petition.

    In the Veteran’s category for Superior Performance, Terri

    A Baldwin and Patricia Ingram were inducted.

    LAS VEGAS – Competing against a

    strong field of U.S. and international

    non-champions, Danielle McEwan of 

    Stony Point, N.Y., defeated Aaron

    Lorincz of Belleville, Mich., 277-236,

    to become the ninth woman to win a

    Professional Bowlers Association

    Regional title in the South Point PBAWest Challenge at South Point

    Bowling Plaza.

    The tournament, part of the multi-

    event South Point Bowling Plaza PBA

    Fall Classic, was open to players who

    have never won a PBA event and drew

     bowlers from Colombia, Australia,

    Sweden, Venezuela and Canada. As a

    PBA West Region title winner,

    McEwan is now eligible to enter the 2016 FireLake

    PBA Tournament of Champions which will be held in

    Shawnee, Okla., Jan. 30-Feb. 7.

    “Every time you win it’s pretty awe-

    some, but against the guys? That’s

     pretty cool,” the 24-year-old former 

    Fairleigh Dickinson collegiate All-

    American said.

    In the semifinal round, Lorincz

    eliminated Colombia national team

    member Manuel Otalora, 212-178,while McEwan defeated eight-time

    European Bowling Tour titlist Martin

    Larsen of Sweden, 207-203.

    McEwan is riding a stunning hot

    streak which began with her victory in

    the Professional Women’s Bowling

    Association Tour Championship in

    early September, concluding the first

    full season of women’s professional

     bowling since 2003.

    She was in the field of 16 finalists in the PBA Xtra Frame South Point

    Las Vegas Open singles event until the final qualifying game when she

    dropped to 22nd place in the male-dominated field of 112. Her finish

    was still good enough to clinch an invitation to represent the PWBA in

    the DHC PBA Japan Invitational in Tokyo in January.

    “I think I’m doing so well because of the women’s tour,” McEwan

    said. “It’s the first time we got to bowl on a regular tour, and my game

    got really sharp, and I’ve been able to keep it going. I’m going to ride it

    as long as I can.”

    As a four-time member of Team USA, McEwan’s next competition

    will be the World Bowling Women’s World Championship Dec. 4-13 inthe United Arab Emirates. Afterward, she will immediately fly to Reno,

     Nev., where she will represent the PBA East Region in the PWBA-PBA

    Women’s Regional Challenge, a head-to-head match play competition

    involving women’s points leaders for all eight PBA Regions, during the

    GEICO PBA World Series of Bowling VII.

    ARLINGTON, Texas – The Team

    USA squad for the 2015 World

    Tenpin Bowling Association

    World Women’s Championships

    has been selected and Danielle

    McEwan of Stony Point, New

    York, will make her debut in the

    event that will take place Dec. 5-

    14 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab

    Emirates.Bowling fans will be able to

    watch the action live from the

    Khalifa International Bowling

    Centre on BOWL.com’s

    BowlTV.

    While McEwan will make her 

    first appearance in a World

    Women’s Championships, five of 

    the six Team USA members

    selected by the Team USA coach-

    ing staff were on the squad for 

    the 2013 event.

    Returning to represent the

    United States will be Liz Johnson

    of Cheektowaga, New York;

    Stefanie Johnson of Grand

    Prairie, Texas; Kelly Kulick of Union, New Jersey; Shannon

    O’Keefe of O’Fallon, Illinois,

    and Shannon Pluhowsky of 

    Kettering, Ohio.

    McEwan is no stranger to com-

     peting on the world stage, having

    represented the U.S. in the 2012

    and 2013 QubicaAMF World

    Cup. She also was a member of 

    the Junior Team USA squad that

    won team gold at 2012 WTBA

    World Youth Championships.

    “No matter what the event, it’s

    always an honor to represent my

    country and compete with USA

    on my back.” McEwan said.

    “This tournament, in particular,is going to be very special

     because i t is the largest platform

    for a team event in the world,

    against the best in the world! I’m

    very excited to be part of this

    amazing team.”

    McEwan won the Professional

    Women’s Bowling Association

    Tour Championship title in

    September and said the PWBA

    Tour “has made us all extremely

    sharp.”
