From Fr. Francisco ’s Desk Dear brothers and sisters,

The question that the Scribe poses to Jesus is fundamental: Which is the greatest of the commandments? – That could be transformed to: What is the fundamental path to find our realization in this life? In Jesus answer we find a way to live that brings us to our full potential and realization of ourselves. You want to be all you can be? Then Love God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength. Let us start by the last one – Love God with all your strength. In Hebrew, the word strength is the same root than the word for money. You want to reach your fullness, then love God with all your money. How to do that? Quite simple actually – we find in the Scriptures so many times that 10% of our money (goods or cash) belongs to the Lord. So, to love God means to give to Lord that can be done to a charity, your parish, the poor that you find, etc. Then comes to love God with all your mind or thoughts or planning, etc. How to love God like this? By learn-ing to ask God before thinking – using your knees more than your head. Finally, to love God with all your heart, all your securities. Deep down we never want to suffer but to love sometimes implies to suffer – if you are a parent you know it very well. To love God with all your heart is to accept the suffering, the not being in control. Therefore, let us ask the Lord to give us that gift this week – to fully be us by Loving Him above all!

I want to thank all of you who contributed towards the repair of the roof of the chapel. We collected enough as is shown in the bulletin to redo the roof. We already signed the contract and the work should start very soon.

Saint Francis de Sales Pray for us!

Queridos feligreses
