  • Purpose The school district has purchased the premium package of the Spelling City Software for use by all staff members. This gives all staff access to their own homepage within the software to create and develop a classroom specific educational experience for their students. The In-Service will provide teachers with an overview of the software, how to create various activities, and the expectations of the district. Each teacher will be informed of the log-in procedures for both staff and students. This is important as the log-in is specific to our school. By logging in through our school webpage, teachers gain access to the premium version of the software. The premium package allows access to all activities, assessments, and data within the program. By the end of this In-Service, all teachers will have a working knowledge of the Spelling City Software. The elementary staff will be able to: Log-in Setup a class roster Create a spelling list Create assignments Create a spelling test Utilize the game activities

These features will provide data in various forms such as graphs, charts, and spreadsheets. Therefore, I can access data based on an individual teachers implementation of the software or the data can be broader including the collective implementation of the entire staff. *At the present time, I have not yet received the administrative password to provide screenshots of these features. 2.
