Mission Speaker Next WeekendThe work of the GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS is the subject of next weekend's Mission Awareness presentation. Father Dan Dorsey will speak at all Masses, telling us about the missionary work Glenmary priests, brothers and lay missionaries are doing in serving the spiritually and materially poor people in the United States.

The collection for GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS marks the annual Mission Awareness presentation promoted by the diocesan Society for the Propagation of the Faith (Mission Office).

Hundreds of U.S. counties do not have a resident priest, and in many of these counties the Catholic Church is not present. That means no celebration of the Eucharist, no sacraments, not even a parish community in which to find fellowship and support. Glenmary Home Missioners are working hard to fill the void-to bring the love of Jesus and His Church to the small towns and rural areas of our nation.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to hear of the Glenmary apostolate in Appalachia, the rural South and the Southwest, and to offer our prayers and financial support for their important ministry in the Church. Please consider making a generous donation when we have a special second collection next weekend.
