Today’s Daily Bread… Creation God is Good – All the Time! This morning as I waited on the Holy Spirit to give me todays topic with my ear plugs in it was still too noisy in the house. A beautiful 3 ½ y/o Granddaughter can to that. So outside I went to the back porch as I stood there with my head bowed taking in the sunshine when my head popped up and my eyes opened. What did I see but the beautiful Adirondack Mtns. right in front of me and immediately Creation came to me. We are so blessed to have God bring us here. How often do we see God’s creation and just ignore it because we are just too busy? Hard question to answer isn’t it that is because we do it all the time every single day. How sad is that; very sad I would have to say. There are just too many things right in front of us to take in daily. Just think about it for a minute you will think of so many things you should have taken the few seconds of your busy life to enjoy. Time to look at some of Father’s Word about creation and what it means we should be thankful for. Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:20 (KJV) And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. Psalms 90:2 (KJV) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God. Just take some time and think about these scriptures and digest what they are telling us. We have to think about each word used speaking about what was created. The third scripture is what brought us to this topic today. Again Father is way ahead of us isn’t He? I will take one item in Father’s word to make an illustration of, “fowl of the air”. Just think about this for a bit, this of course are the beautiful birds of flight. I am blessed enough to have a bird feeder and a humming bird feeder right in from of me. We have so many different types of birds here in the Adirondacks you would just be amazed by them all. Yes, I take the time to watch them especially the humming bird with their amazing colors. One minute there is only one then within seconds there are five or six buzzing around out there. There are birds everywhere on God’s great earth, take the time to take in their beauty. I will close with a few more scriptures for you to meditate on about God’s creations. Psalm 8:3-4 (KJV) 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Psalm 104:24-25 (KJV)

24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. 25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. Revelation 4:11 (KJV) 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Sukkot or Succos-Festival of Tabernacles (Shelters) Hi again- well this is a little late as the holiday is over it ended October 16th this year. If any of you have driven around Kiryas Joel, Monroe NY or live down in Rockland county and drove around Monsey or New Square then you have seen wooden “shelters” on everyone’s decks with an awning over the top that is able to be opened. The Festival is biblical so therefore G-d ordained; You will dwell in booths for seven days; all natives of Israel shall dwell in booths. -Leviticus 23:42 The word Sukkot means booths and the reference is to the temporary dwellings that we are commanded to live in at this time in memory of the period of wandering for forty years in the desert. The holiday lasts for 7 days and begins the 5th day after Yom Kippur. A sukkah itself must have at least two and a half walls that are made of something that will not blow away in the wind and the top must be able to open in order to fulfill the mitzvah of dwelling in the sukkah. The kids all love to decorate the inside of the sukkah and it is filled with all types of

decorations and surprisingly with “Christmas” lights (of course they don’t call them that). Another important aspect of Sukkot is the four species (in Hebrew Arba Minim) or lulav and etrog; On the first day, you will take for yourselves a fruit of a beautiful tree, palm branches, twigs of a braided tree and brook willows, and you will rejoice before the L-RD your G-d for seven days. -Leviticus 23:40 The 4 species are

1) The etrog (in English citron) representing the heart 2) The palm branch (in Hebrew lulav) representing the spine 3) Two willow branches representing the mouth 4) Myrtle leaf representing the eye

The four species are held and waved during the Hallel prayer and is held in procession around the bimah (pedestal where the Torah is read).
