Employee Year End
Gratuity Fund This is the time of year that we can say thank you to our staff through the
Year End gratuity fund. Give as much or as little as you can to say Thank you to the Fox Run employees for a great 2018.
Just include your donation with your monthly dues payment. (please denote the amount you would like to donate with
your payment) Anything given to the fund is much appreciated.
From all of the employees we would like to say Happy Holidays and we look forward to a great 2019 season.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS There are three open positions for the Board of Directors. Resumes for those interested are due
by February 1st, 2020 at the close of business. Any regular stock member in good standing for two
years and desiring to serve on the Board of Directors shall submit a written resume as to their
background, age, years of membership, education qualifications and the reason you desire to serve
as a director of the club. Please turn your resume into David or Patsy on or
before February 1st , 2020
Saturday Shotgun Starts Our goal is to make it to December before we go to

The cooler temps at night have arrived and the Bermuda grass has
stopped actively growing. To insure we keep our range tee nice for the
upcoming season we must stay off the turf and remain on the mats. We
ask that you hit all iron, hybrid and fairway wood shots from the matted
area. Tees will go into the mat but it is acceptable to tee your ball up in
front of the mats. Thank you in advance for cooperation.
2020 Tournament Eligibility All members going forward must have a registered GHIN
handicap kept here at the club to be eligible for tournament play for 2020

Hole In One Club for 2019/2020 We are continuing the Hole in One Club heading into the start of 2020
If you already entered the HIO club during the 2019 season that payment will carry forward to 2020
For all who have not already entered
$5.00 each
Explanation: The way this works is when a member of the club gets a verifiable hole in one in a club event,
each member of the HIO club is then billed $5.00. This in turn will cover the expenses for the day (if you know
what I mean) for the person making a hole in one.
If interested, please let us know in the golf shop asap.
Upcoming Course Projects
We are excited to announce that we have some very useful and
necessary course improvement projects beginning next week. #1 We
have secured Environmental Landscaping to complete the upcoming
projects. This is the same firm that completed the #15 Bunker renovation.
We are very excited to have them on the job. Project#1 will be a new tee
box for the Blue and White Tees for #4. The new box will be 90’ long x 30’
wide. It will be built three feet high to help eliminate flooding issues for
that tee complex. As well drainage will be installed/improved in and
around the new tee complex. #2 We will be rebuilding all three bunkers
on #1 to include reshaping, new sod, drainage and new sand. #3 We will
be rebuilding all three bunkers on #5 to include reshaping of all bunkers,
new sod, drainage, and new sand. Last but not least, we will be rebuilding
#9 bunker to include reshaping the hill at the top of the bunker to
become a more gradual fall into the bunker. We should be able to see the
entire green from the fairway when completed. As well new drainage and
sand will be installed in #9 bunker. These are some very exciting new
projects that will help to improve the overall course experience. We
cannot wait to see them completed and in play.
COMMUNICATIONS ROUNDTABLE
Here we go! Another project has been approved by the Board, sand trap
renovations. Holes 1, 5 and 9 will be renovated along with hole number 4 tee
renovation. More information to follow with time line, again an improvement to
make players experience more enjoyable.
• There have been several concerns with reference to cigarette and cigar
butts left on fairways and sometimes the greens. Please make sure, if you
are a smoker to not leave butts on the course.
• Again, if anyone is having a problem receiving emails from the club, please
call David at the pro shop and he will address the problem.
• An email account has been set up so members can now not only
communicate with contacts within their groups, but can email information

dam on #4
In trying to grow up the grass on the bank of the Dam and having low water issues,
it is imperative that we stay off of the bank so the grass has a chance to grow and
stay in place

Please Fill Your Divot and One More
As we head into winter and the turf is going dormant, it is very important that we fill all divots made while playing. We encourage all players to fill
their divot and at least one more. Sand is provided on the carts and on #1 tee box, behind #9 green & on #10 tee box. As well, each Par 3 box has sand that can be used to fill divots made on the tee box. The Par 3 tees
take a pretty good beating by winters end. Let’s fill those divots and keep the course heading the right direction.
Greetings from the Grounds:
Fall weather has arrived and brought some much needed rain to the golf course, we had a very long dry spell August
through most of October. We are looking forward to November when we will see some work being done on the golf
course. New bunkers on hole 1, 5, and 9 green, we will also be building a new Tee complex on hole 4 for the Blue and
white. The Tee will be one level 30 feet wide by 90 feet long this along with a new drain near the creek will help with
flooding in that area. The golf course is being prepped for winter as we have mowed everything for the last time except
greens. We will start to concentrate on tree work and making sure the course is cleaned. Its that time of year to remind
everyone that frost is eminent and will delay golf while frost is present, we ask for patience as this phenomenon messes
up our schedule also. Walking on frosted grass will destroy the cells in the plant and can cause death to the plant and
unsightly black turf. Please be aware of signs around putting green during these days. We will monitor conditions and
update regularly. As always, we look forward to seeing you on the course.
