FOOD FOR THOUGHT
I hope that you are having a wonderful fall. I know that we have
been on the go as usual. Life changes, things happen, we adjust.
We look to God for strength during the difficult times and He is
fully willing to provide at the right time, His timing.
What do you do when you are stressed and overwhelmed? We all
come to times when that feeling is upon us. I hope that you have
something that you regularly do, because unchecked the feeling
can lead to worse things. I would like to recommend a couple of
things that we find in scripture to help us deal with the feeling of
being overwhelmed.
First I would suggest talking to God about it. Prayer is a powerful
tool! We have the opportunity to talk to the very one who cre-
ated us! He knows us better than we know ourselves. Scripture
tells us He knows the number of hairs we have! (Luke 12:7) We
also have examples from the Psalms, where the authors was in
peril or a state of desperation. Sometimes they were even seem-
ing to be angry with God. Don’t be afraid to tell God really what
you feel. I promise you He has heard it before and will hear it
again.
Second, I would suggest that you take some time to briefly get
away to read and meditate on God’s word. God’s word is relevant
today and He knows just what you need to hear Him telling you.
God provides just what we need, when we need it.

THIS MONTH’S RIDDLE
Though I have no color
I am sometimes white.
And you can’t avoid me,
Though try as you might.
I’m useful for hiding things no one can see,
And rarely, if ever, does good come from me.
What am I?
OASIS stands for Older Adults Still In Service. We have no
Expectations on what is “older”. We welcome EVERYONE who
enjoys good fellowship, great programs and wonderful food.
It is a time once a month where people can gather in the fellowship
hall and have fun. You don’t have to belong to Centennial to come.
Again EVERYONE is welcome.
This month is our “Thanksgiving” meeting. We will celebrate
Thanksgiving as a group and have a lot of fun and fellowship to-
gether. Join us on Thursday November 16th @ noon and bring a
dish that goes with a turkey dinner. Everyone Welcome!!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Our Goal this year is 100 shoeboxes to send to
children somewhere overseas. We surpassed our goal
of 50 last year, let’s do it again!! Please have your
shoeboxes turned in by November 8th.
______________________________________________________________
Most of our 27 Angel Tree Ministries Angels have
been picked up by Centennial members. These kids
have a parent who is incarcerated and we know what
they would like for Christmas so we will fulfill that
request for them. Put a smile on the little faces this
Christmas!! Deadline to have your wrapped gifts here
to church is Sunday November 12th.

Third, share it with some others. I have friends who I lean on when I am feeling overwhelmed. I have friends who are ministers in our association, but I also have those who are in different places throughout the state. You can use your Sunday School class or small group. You can al-ways talk to me. Any time, day or night. If you need your pastor, please call or text. (660-890-1639). I care about you and want to help if I can.
I want to thank everyone in the church for the wonderful outpouring on the pastor’s apprecia-tion day. Thank you for the dinner, the cards and the generous gifts you gave our family. I really appreciate the way you look after my family. I am humbled to say the least. Thank You from my-self, Kara and the kids!! Pastor Bryce
