 Visa Explanation

 A citizen of a foreign country, wishing to enter the CANADA.,

generally must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa fortemporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence.The type of visa you must have is defined by immigration law,

and relates to the purpose of your travel. Having a CANADA.visa allows you to travel to a port-of-entry (airport, for example)and request permission of the Department of HomelandSecurity, Customs Border Protection immigration officer to enterthe CANADA. A visa does not guarantee entry into the CANADA.

Instructions for completing an Electronic Visa Application Form:

1. Enter the information requested into the appropriate spaces onthe form. Please answer all questions. Your answers must be inEnglish and must use English characters.2. Review the information you entered for accuracy

3. Press the Continue button at the end of the form. Failure to clickon the Continue button will result in an incorrectly formattedapplication form.4. Print the form after it is returned to you and displayed in Adobe

 Acrobat.5. The barcode that prints on the last page contains the informationyou entered and will help us process your application more quickly.6. Bring all printed pages with you when you come in for yourinterview. Please do not fold the printed application form.

SCHEDULE OF FEES:Payments must be by Naira BANK DRAFT to Canadian Deputy High Commission

Bank drafts must be obtained from approved banks only (seebelow for list of approved banks)

If the issuing bank is outside Lagos, PAYABLE IN LAGOS must be indicated on the cheque.We do not accept personal cheques or cash.NOTE: applicants name must be printed in capital letters on theback of the bank draft.

 You will be required to provide new photos before your application can beprocessed.To avoid delays, please ensure that the photos provided with yourapplication meet these requirements.

Photograph specifications:Three identical photos, black and white or colour, taken within the last 6months.

Must be clear and well defined, taken against a plain white or light coloured

background. Digital photos must not be altered in any way.The face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neitherfrowning nor smiling, with the mouth closed.

Tinted prescription glasses may be worn as long as the eyes are clearly visibleand the frame is not covering any part of the eyes. Sunglasses are not acceptable.False hairpieces or other cosmetic devices are acceptable if they do not disguisethe natural appearance of the bearer.

Photos in which the applicant is wearing a hat or head covering worn forreligious reasons are acceptable if the full facial features are not obscured.·Your name must be printed on the back of each photo.Photo an

THE NSBE MISSION

NSBE's mission is " to increase the number of culturally responsibleBlack Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally andpositively impact the community.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) with more than30,000 members, is one of the largest student-managedorganization in the country. NSBE is comprised of more than 233chapters on college and university campuses, 65 Alumni Extension

chapters nationwide and 89 Pre-College chapters. These chaptersare geographically divided into six regions.

NSBE's OBJECTIVES

The National Society of Black Engineers strive to accomplish thefollowing objectives for our organization:

     Stimulate and develop student interest in the various engineeringdisciplines.     Strive to increase the number of minority students studyingengineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.     Encourage members to seek advanced degrees in engineering orrelated fields and to obtain professional engineering registrations.     Promote public awareness of engineering and the opportunities forBlacks and other minorities in that profession.     Function as a representative body on issues and developmentsthat affect the careers of Black Engineers.

IMPORTANCE OF NSBE NATIONAL CONVENTION

The NSBE Annual National Convention is designed to provideacademic and professional development for students andprofessionals. In addition to engineering, NSBE members areinvolved in a range of technical fields including mathematics,physics,

statistics, computer science, and other applied sciences.

NSBE provides its international members with unparallelednetworking and development opportunities and encourage theirparticipation so that they may benefit from the many programsoffered by NSBE including scholarships, internships, professionaldevelopment workshops, and leadership training.

processing times. You must provide a pre-paid return courierenvelope with your submission. We strongly recommend the use of a reliable and well-known courier service to ensure the security andthe return of your passport(s) and personal documents
