• Commitment is defined by Gallup as the emotional commitment an employee has with work

• This emotional commitment brings many benefits including willingness to expend discretionary effort

• Gallup’s research shows 12 actions by managers that build and maintain employee commitment

• The first and most important of these actions is to set clear expectations

• The question used for testing this is:
