The first digital computer was developed by a physicist named John Atanasoff and his associate Berry. This first truly digital machine, known as the Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC). Developments during World War II provided a great thrust forward.Von Neumann Computer Model
Developed in the 1940s, it was based on two components: a central processing unit, and a storage structure.Five main groups within the von Neumann model include: CPU, Working storage, Permanent storage, Input devices, and output devices.
