BOOK WEEK Book week will commence on Monday 5th September when we will have a book fair. Books will be on display in the Library and can be purchased during this week. If any parent would like to help man the Book Fair either from 8.30—9.15am or

from 3—4pm, please let the office know.

As part of book week we will be having a show called The Labyrinth in the Library on Friday 2nd September which all students will attend. It is an exciting, inventive performance which celebrates reading and suggests that books can be guides, teachers and com-panions for life. The cost of this show is $5 per student. This will also be a dress up

day and the theme is ‘Australiana’.

COWS CREATE CAREERS

Our project is coming to an end this week and Professor Quirrell and Valentino will be returning to their farm. We would like to thank the Huitson family again for the loan of their animals and also to staff who have helped out on weekends feeding the calves and David Blum for helping to fix the barn doors. The students have thoroughly enjoyed the first hand experience of raising a calf

LICE CHECK

Last week we had a whole school lice check with fairly positive results. Only a small number of students were found to have live lice. We thank parents for being supportive and picking up students for treatment. Please continue to keep regular checks going. Thank you to Rebecca, Danielle and Marie for assisting with the check. Your help is very much appreciated. FATHERS’ DAY STALL Next Tuesday we will be running a Father’s Day Stall with gifts priced at $2, $5 and $10.
