I have pleasure in presenting to you the September ’14 to January ’15 news in this edition of Numero Uno. Happy browsing!

A culture of growth depends on breakthrough ideas which translate into real offerings. In this respect, events are a great way to bring people from diverse fields together. In the month of November, we organized a medical conference in Thane District. The event - details of which are in this newsletter - received a healthy response from around 400 Doctors.

During this month, the POS Installation and SOP training continued with renewed vigour, covering 265 new stores while the retraining figures of POS and SOP were 168 and 194 respectively. The Bridgestone Team deserves kudos for its enthusiasm and consistent performance.

November saw the growth of the Bridgestone family with the appointment of two new Select Stores: Banga Tyres (Pune) and Vimal Tyres (Surat). We welcome them to the family and commit our support and cooperation to them for the smooth and successful running of their business.

Our Retail team with sheer dedication and hard work has successfully completed new POS Installation and SOP Training at 265 new stores. POS Re-Training 168, SOP Training 30 and SOP Re-training 194. Branches covered were at Jaipur, Delhi North, Delhi South, Ghaziabad and other places.

The summit was organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh between 8th - 10th October, 2014 at Indore. Bridgestone’s eye-catching stall drew maximum footfalls from Indian industry leaders, heads of states, policy makers, investors, customers and other stakeholders.

Customers are at the heart of every successful business, but maintaining and more importantly growing a customer base can be a challenge for all businesses. In this respect a medical conference was held in Dombivli on 23rd Nov’14, attended by around 400 Doctors from Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar & Ambernath. With participation from Wheel Care, Dombivli and Kalyan, all the Doctors were given safety booklets, tissue paper boxes and discount coupons. With 25% discount offered on all services, the event has gone a long way to increase tyre and service sales.

From 19th – 21st September 2014, the PSR Marketing team initiated a Free Tyre Safety Check-Up Camp in Ludhiana and Nashik. At the camp, all participants had their vehicle’s tyres professionally checked by Bridgestone’s technical team and Nitrogen filling facility was also provided. The activity was rolled out in 3 phases: First phase was the Pre-Promotion, where the event was advertised through various mediums. Second phase was the main event and the 3rd Phase was the Promotional Scheme where a customer could avail free gift on purchase of 4 tyres and free alignment at any Bridgestone Authorized Store. The objective of the event was to create awareness, to increase customer engagement, to create brand awareness and to increase footfalls at dealer stores. Through this activity we were able to reach out to more than 1000 customers in both the cities. The Tyre Safety Check-Up Camp will be progressively introduced across India.

FrEE TyrE SaFETy CHECk-up Camp

The Free Tyre Safety Check-Up Camp initiative continued during the month of October ’14. This time the camp was conducted at Mahindra & Mahindra Dealership, Patiala along with Employee Training. It was also conducted at four different Corporate Premises of Tech Mahindra in Pune. At the camp, all the participants had their vehicle tyres professionally checked by Bridgestone’s technical team, and Nitrogen filling facility was also provided. The camp reached out to more than 1000 customers at both locations.

In January 2015, a similar camp was conducted for the employees of TCS, Gurgaon. Over 130 customers participated in the event. The following months will witness the Free Tyre Safety Check-Up Camp in more cities across India.

We continued with our CSR Activity ‘Environment & You’, a drawing competition for kids at our Bridgestone Select Super Concept Stores. The children were given drawing materials and a theme of ‘Environment & You’, to express their understanding and perception of the current environment. The Drawing Competition carried the message - from the kids to their parents - of protecting the environment. The activity was carried out at: Sai (Tyre Division), Tinsukia.
