A USD 20 BILLUION INVSTMENT

• crude oil refinery with a capacity of about 300,000 barrels per day > A naphtha cracker with the ability to produce three million tonnes of ethylene, propylene as well as C4 and C5 olefins; and > A joint petrochemical development with a combined production capacity of three million tonnes per year.

• The Johor state government and Dutch-based Royal Vopak NV, plans to pump in RM4.08 billion to develop LNG terminal

• Petronas has appointed partners including Italy-based Versalis SpA, Germany based BASF, Japan based ITOCHU Corp and Thailand- based PTT Global Chemical Public Company Ltd for the Rapid project.
