Until now, aeroponic gardens have worked by spraying roots with nutrient solution through micro-sized spray heads designed for landscaping use and fed by low pressure pumps (< 10 PSI). The droplet size generated by these types of systems averages no less than 400 microns in diameter. Even when noisy and expensive diaphragm-type pumps are employed to generate the 40-80 PSI these sprayers are designed to operate at, droplet size will rarely fall below 80 microns, not to mention the additional water pressure can easily tear sensitive root tissue. The entire concept of aeroponics revolves around provid- ing roots with access to extra Oxygen in order to increase me- tabolism. Until now, this benefit has not been truly realized because spraying roots with such large droplets effectively drenches them in solution which ultimately inhibits their access to available Oxygen. In order for roots to benefit from additional Oxygen, the solution droplet size must be sig- nificantly reduced to that which does not impair such access. The Nutramist system utilizes a solid-state, ultrasonic device to create a “dry fog” with a droplet size of less than 5 microns. That’s like comparing the size of a BB to that of a basketball! At this size, the nutrient enriched mist behaves like a fluid but in a gaseous phase which can readily penetrate roots without drenching them in solution. The result is two-fold in that roots now have unlimited access to Oxygen and can now develop tiny fine root hairs which exponentially increased their surface area and ability to uptake water and nutrients. Besides providing the finest solution droplet size, Nutramist systems constantly inject the root zone with fresh, Oxygen rich air. When combined with their non-recirculating nutrient delivery system, the Nutramist systems eliminate the need for constant pH and solution concentration adjustment. In addition, their solid state ultrasonic delivery mechanism ster- ilizes incoming nutrient solution which helps prevent root rot and transmission of pathogens between crops grown in the same system. The result is healthier roots that can provide significantly increased Oxygen, water and nutrient uptake which equates directly to faster production of more of the tasty flowers, fruit and vegetables for which you garden.

The entire concept of aeroponics revolves around provid-ing roots with access to extra Oxygen in order to increase me-tabolism. Until now, this benefit has not been truly realized because spraying roots with such large droplets effectively drenches them in solution which ultimately inhibits their access to available Oxygen. In order for roots to benefit from additional Oxygen, the solution droplet size must be sig-nificantly reduced to that which does not impair such access.

In addition, their solid state ultrasonic delivery mechanism ster-ilizes incoming nutrient solution which helps prevent root rot and transmission of pathogens between crops grown in the same system. The result is healthier roots that can provide significantly increased Oxygen, water and nutrient uptake which equates directly to faster production of more of the tasty flowers, fruit and vegetables for which you garden.

Nutramisting roots promotes the growth of these fine hairs (Air roots) which exponentially increase the surface area utilized for the diffusion of Oxygen, water and nutrient ions.

When traditional hydropon-ics is combined with a gentle fog, plant roots receive the complete benefits of having unlimited access to water, nutrition and oxygen. The result is a superior root system.

The Nutramist Fogger can also be used to provide ad-ditional humidity in the grow room and greenhouse as the ultra-fine fog vaporizes entirely within seconds after release.

The New Revolution in Hydroponic GardeningNUTRAMIST fog & drip gardens

There are two NUTRAMIST Garden propagation models. The Propagator 100, which accomodates 100 2” sites, and The Propagator 200, having 200 2” sites, are both designed for rooting cuttings. The Nutramist Propa-gators are fog-only gardens including the completely silent ultrasonic NUTRAMIST fogger. By constantly fog-ging the roots cuttings are afforded maximum Oxy-genation. Both the Propagators and Fog & Flood Gar-dens share the same trays which allows the grower to change lids in order to repurpose their system.

There are also two NUTRAMIST Fog & Drip Garden models designed for production. The Producer 16, which holds 16 plants in 3” cups and The Producer 32, with 32 3” spots, have been designed to maximize production by combining our ultrasonic fogging technology with Drip technology. By constantly fogging the upper root zone and regularly wetting the lower root zone, plants are afforded both maximum Oxygenation and access to an unlimited supply of nutrient solution at the bottom of the tray. This method has proven itself most effective especially with heavy feeders that require an extremely healthy root system to support heavy harvest of fruits and flowers. The Nutramist Fog & Drip gardens include a completely silent ultrasonic fogger and powerful sub-mersible pump.

1) The Fogger unit continuously p r o v i d e s t h e upper air layer of roots with fog. 2) Tap roots are shallowly bathing i n n u t r i e n t solution, while the miniscule root hairs above continue to receive fresh Oxygen and nebulized nutrient solution. 3) A timer can be set to run the drip pump on schedule or it may be run continuously whichever is best suited to your crop’s feeding requirement and style of growing. If you plan to expand your NUTRAMIST garden, reservoirs are connected and their levels balanced by using a jumper tube in place of the level indicating tube.
