FIELD TRIP PROGRAMS Many of the programs listed here can be modified to suit all ages, physical abilities, or experience levels. We can also create a program just for you! TOPICS: What Makes a Bird a Bird? (PreK-2) Raptors of Indiana (3rd Grade and up) Bird Conservation (6th Grade and up) Add owl pellet dissection for $1/student! Watch a training demonstration with one of our Raptor Ambassadors and learn about what makes them "birds of prey." *These programs are for groups visiting the Ornithology Center, not for Outreaches. NATURE HIKES & BIRDING TOURS Birding in Eagle Creek Park (Beginner through Advanced) Seasonal Nature Hikes (Birds, Trees, Flowers, Insects, etc.) Animal Homes, Tracks, and Signs Sensory Adventure Hike (PreK-1st) Bird Song Identification Explore the beautiful trails of Eagle Creek. Hikes can be scheduled year- round, just dress for the weather! Bring your group to the Ornithology Center! We do programs for preschool, grade school, homeschool, college, and retired groups, as well as clubs, scouts, and more! $5/person for 1 topic $6/person for 2 topics $7/person for 3 topics $8/person for 4 topics 30 people/topic maximum (larger groups must add more topics and rotate). Park admission included in the price! No charge for teachers or chaperones. Discounted rates are available for Title 1. $50 minimum for small groups. Programs only available 10am- 4pm. Additional fees may apply for weekend programs. Programs are offered all year long! Learn about nature during all seasons, rain or shine, inside or outside. During Summer Camp months (June and July), only outdoor programs will be offered. Migration (children 6-12 can do the Great Migration Challenge Obstacle Course, shown at right) Backyard Birds (Identification, Bird Feeding, Gardens, Hummingbirds, etc.) Ornithology can be used to teach all kinds of topics. Give us a call and we can design a program for you!
