Harry Potter On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter learns that he has been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry and his friends, Ron and Hermione, brave the challenges of school life while facing the increasing threat of the Dark Forces. As Voldemort returns to power, Harry realises that only he can stop the Dark Lord.

Ron Weasley Red-haired and funny, Ron Weasley is Harry’s first friend at Hogwarts. Throughout their years at school, Ron remains a key ally to Harry and is instrumental in their quest to destroy Lord Voldemort.

Hermione Granger One of Harry’s best friends and a fellow Gryffindor, Hermione is a smart and studious pupil. Her quick-thinking and impressive magic skills often help Harry and Ron in their adventures.

Albus Dumbledore Albus Dumbledore is the old and wise Headmaster of Hogwarts during most of Harry’s time at the school. Known to be the only wizard of whom the evil Lord Voldemort is frightened, Dumbledore is a source of great comfort to Harry and is crucial in his quest to destroy the Dark Lord.

Lord Voldemort The evil Lord Voldemort is first defeated when he unsuccessfully attempts to kill Harry Potter. During Harry’s years at Hogwarts, the Dark Lord becomes progressively stronger and rises to power once more, culminating in the Battle of Hogwarts – the ultimate showdown between good and evil.

Severus Snape Head of Slytherin house and Potions Master for Harry’s first five years at Hogwarts, Severus Snape’s loyalty to Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix is often questioned by Harry. Only through viewing Snape’s memories does Harry learn the truth about his motives.

Bellatrix Lestrange As a tremendously loyal follower of Lord Voldemort, Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange is responsible for the torture of Neville Longbottom’s parents and the death of her own cousin, Sirius Black.

Rubeus Hagrid Rubeus Hagrid, the half-giant, is Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. With a fondness for magical creatures, Hagrid’s gentle spirit provides comfort to Harry throughout his years at Hogwarts.

Contact cards are extra-wide, cinematic trading cards with added value, as they offer collectors lots of playing options, thanks to their matching icon system.

Put the cards next to each other and see if their icons match!

Domino-like chain connections between cards are possible.

Special rare cards have silver spots that connect to all icons. When you see a blank silver semi-circle on a card’s edge instead of an icon, it means you can link it with any other icon – much like a joker in playing cards!

Some cards have one silver spot, others have two and some even have three!

Playing suggestions

DominoPlayers must use up all of their cards by connecting the icons with cards on the table, just as you would with dominoes.

Two to four players

For two players, each deck should contain seven regular plus three special cards; for three players, each deck should contain six regular plus two special cards; for four players, each deck should contain three regular plus two special cards.

Decks must be made up from random cards not chosen for their icons (to make sure the icons are random, a player can propose that all decks must stick to a certain rule, e.g. that they all feature Newt, or feature at least one Muggle).

Players keep their cards face-down in a pile. When it’s their turn, each player must look at the top card in their pile and see if it links. If it doesn’t, they move the card to the bottom of their pile, and pass the turn.

The first player to use up all of their cards wins.

Alternative special domino for experts You can play an exciting new version of domino with special cards only (the ones with the silver frame). However, instead of using the silver spots on cards as jokers linking to all icons, use them as blank spots not linking to any other icon – not even to themselves! Connections between cards will become much more difficult, making for a tense game that only true champions can win!

Speed puzzleTwo to eight players race one another to see who can build the biggest card puzzle in the fastest time, by connecting the icons on the cards’ sides. Each player builds a deck of an equal amount of random cards, for example:

15 random cards (max. five specials) 30 cards featuring Harry 25 cards featuring a Hogwarts teacher or staff member 20 cards featuring a Magical Creature… and so on.

Option A: The RaceA time limit is agreed before play begins, e.g. three minutes. Each player must individually build the biggest possible puzzle of cards within the given time. The player who builds the puzzle with most cards, or uses up all his cards in the shortest time, wins.

Players can display all their cards in order to see the icons better, they can move around cards of group of cards in any way they like, and when time expires only the biggest connected puzzle they have built will count.

Option B: Teamwork! In teams of four to eight, players work together to build one puzzle. The first team to use up all cards in their deck is the winner.

Players can lay out all the cards in their deck in any way they like so that they can see all icons at once. When a card is on the table and connected to the puzzle, it cannot be removed and must stay on the table, and any player can connect to it. However, players can move a connected card to another branch of the puzzle, creating more chances to make contact.

Contact! Two to four players sit in a circle, each one with a face-down deck of cards in front of them. In turn, each player takes the top card from their stack and places it face up next to the rest of their cards. Be on the look-out for matching icons: when you see two cards that match, be the first player to yell out “contact!”* The first player to yell out takes the pair of the matching icons cards and adds them face down to the bottom of their stack. If a player shouts out at the wrong time, they must give each player a card from their face-down stack. The player who collects all the cards is the winner.

For two players, each deck should contain seven regular plus three special cards; for three players, each deck should contain six regular plus two special cards; for four players, each should contain three regular plus two special cards.

*Instead of “contact”, players could use another word, such as “Accio!”
