Mr. McGugan reported that three of the district's teachers willbe leaving the district for retirement. The board authorizedthe superintendent to prepare a citation for presentation atthe next meeting of the board.

Opening of bids - $920,000 bonds

The president stated that the next order of business would be toreceive bids for the sale of $920,000.00 school site and buildingbonds of this district to be dated June 1, 1964 and to be of thedenomination of $1,000.00 each, or such other denomination notexceeding $5,000.00, as the bidder may specify. These bonds areto become due and payable serially, $25,000.00 on December 1 ofeach of the years 1966 to 1974 inclusive, $70,000.00 on Decem­ber 1, 1975, $75,000.00 on December 1 of each of the years 1976and 1977, $100,000.00 on December 1, 1978, and $125,000.00 onDecember 1 of each of the years 1979, 1980 and 1981, with inter­est payable December 1, 1965, and semi-annually thereafter.

Franklin W. Klein, attorney for the district, stated that noticeof this sale has been sent to approximately 90 bond firms and banks.The bids were then opened and the same were as follows:
