▫ If a person’s body can not make enough insulin to support them, if they lose enough weight, then their body can go back to supporting itself through diet-exercise alone

▫ Insulin/oral medications are meant to be supplementary and temporary

• Patient non-compliance rates for▫ Diet/exercise: 87%▫ Insulin: 12%▫ Oral Medications: 6%
