She was the daughter of the late William Mathis and Martha Lue Lawrence and granddaughter of the late Mary Mathis. Other survivors include her sons, Roy V. Graves, Jr. of Dyersburg. and Ray V. Graves and Ronnie V. Graves, of Nashville; a daughter, Sheila Graves-Jelks, of Dyersburg; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were Thursday of last week at Johnson-Wil- liams Funeral Home. She was born Saturday, January 26, 1946, to the late Joe Ward and Ruth Brown Ward in Lake County. She also leaves two other sons, Andy Tennant, of New- bern, and Charles Harrison, of Louisville, Ky.; two daugh- ters, Shelby Melder and Lor- raine Burns, both of Dyers- burg; a brother, Billy Ward, of Amarillo, Tex.; two sisters, Doris Adkins, of Dyersburg, and Lois Boswell, of Ridgely; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Donald Trippett Donald Cyril Trippett, 67, of Ripley, retired from World Color, died Wednesday, No- vember 13th, at Baptist Me- morial Hospital Tipton. Graveside services were Friday in Ripley Memo- rial Gardens, Garner Funeral Home had charge. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. The husband of Connie Trippett, he leaves two sons, Duane Stroder, of Memphis, and Ronald Stroder, of Chan- dler, Okla.; three daughters, Tammy Hughes and Carla Terry, both of Ripley, and Bonnie Stroder, of Chandler, Okla.; a brother, John Trip- pett, of Macclenny, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Alma Rose Alma Rose, 63, of Coving- ton, mother of John Rose, of Ripley, died Tuesday, Novem- ber 12th. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16th, at the Covington Funeral Home, with burial in Morrison Me- morial Cemetery, of Brigh- ton. She also leaves a daugh- ter, Angela Thompson, and sisters, Diane Whittiemore and Barbara Daugherty all of Covington; two brothers, Jer- ry Chumley, of Galloway, and Lanier Chumley, of Drum- monds; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Midway Assembly of God Church. He leaves a son, Scotty Myracle, of Memphis; a daughter, Danielle Watson, of Franklin; parents, Billy Myra- cle, of Covington, and Pat My- racle, of Centerville; another brother, Jimmy Butler, Jr., of Covington; a sister, Carrie Lynn Daniels, of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren. Wilma McDow Wilma McDow, 90, of Covington, aunt of Lewis Chalk, of Ripley, died Thurs- day, November 14th. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16th, at Covington Funeral Home, with burial in Covington Me- morial Gardens. The widow of W. C. Jean Parham Jean Harlow Parham, 78, of Ripley, a retired bookkeep- er for Forcum-Lannom, died Saturday, November 16th, at Asbury Cove Assisted Living Center. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Ripley Church of Christ, where she was a mem- ber, with burial in Ripley Me- morial Gardens, Garner Fu- neral Home had charge. The widow of Mack Par- ham, she leaves, a son, Ken- ny Parham, a daughter, Diann McBride, a brother, Larry Pegg, and two sisters, Lola Sweat and Betty Kirkpatrick, all of Ripley; five grandchil- dren; and six great-grandhcil- dren. He was born May 30, 1958 to Shirley Rogers and the late Paul Davis, Sr., in Lauderdale County. She leaves a son, Korey Ward, of Gates; daughters, Alish Williams, of Gary, Ind., and Dannell Hayes, of India-napolis, Ind.; brothers, Collis and Joe Brown, both of Gates, Keith Taylor, of Halls, Jefhry Taylor, of Newbern, Tyrus Brown, of Clarkville, and Al-vin and Darrel King, both of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Julius Brown Buford, of Ripley, Deborah Person, of Gates, Rhonda Person and Paula Taylor, both of Halls, and Ro-salind Brown, of Millington; and eight grandchildren.

Ripley, died Sunday, Novem-ber 17th, at Lauderdale Com-munity Hospital.

He will lie-in-state from noon until 6 p.m. Friday, No-vember 22nd, at Thompson’s Mortuary.

Rites are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23rd, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, of Halls, with burial in Old Cha-pel Cemetery, of Halls.

He leaves a son, Averyon Gillette, of Halls; a brother, Brian Young, of Flint, Mich.; and sisters, Doris Snipes and Kendra Young, both of Ripley, and Tiffany Young, of Memphis.
