How Do I Retrieve Files from EDconnect?

1. Make sure the SAIG mailbox ID associated with the Federal Student Aid (FSA) user ID you used to log into NSLDS is set up in EDconnect.

Note: If this has not been done, contact Central Processing System (CPS)/SAIG technical support at (800) 330 - 5947 for assistance.

2. Log into EDconnect using the ID associated with the FSA user who made the request for delinquent data or school portfolio information.

3. Select Transmission > Now.

EDconnect processes the request.

4. Select File > New > Mailbox Query.

EDconnect provides a list of the files available for download.

5. Identify the information requested (i.e., the School Portfolio files and Delinquency Data files).

6. Select the Move to TQ column (so a checkmark displays in the column) corresponding to the message class associated with the requested information.

7. Select Transmission > Now.

EDconnect downloads the files to the designated directory. At this point, you can rename the files, if necessary (e.g., rename the file with the date it was downloaded).

8. Access the following files.

• SCHRPFOP: The School Portfolio file in a fixed-width format.

• DELQFFOP: The Delinquency files in a fixed-width format.
