Who are OH Professionals?
OH Professionals WSQ Framework
OH Professionals are personnel who are involved in managing workplace health hazards and may have job roles or titles such as:

TheSingaporeWorkforceDevelopmentAgency(WDA),theMinistryofManpower(MOM)andtheWorkplaceSafety&HealthCouncil(WSHC)havejointlydevelopedtheOccupationalHygiene(OH)ProfessionalsWorkforceSkillsQualifications(WSQ)Framework,inconsultationwithWSHManpower,SkillsandTrainingCouncil(MSTC).
Key Purpose • TosupporttheNationalWHFrameworkwhichaims
to assist stakeholders in taking proactive measures to improve their management of WH hazards and raise WH standards
• TotrainanddevelopcompetentandmotivatedOHProfessionalswhocanassistemployers,occupiersandotherstakeholdersintheanticipation,recognition,evaluation and control of WH risks at the workplace

COURSE ELIGIBILITY
The minimum criteria for admission to the WSQ SpecialistDiplomainOHare:1. ESWPLNLevel6,ORGradeC6inGCE‘O’Levelfor
EnglishandMathematics;AND2. GradeC6inGCE‘O’LevelScience(Chemistryand
Physics)
Preference will be given to individuals who have at least 2yearsofworkingexperienceinanyindustry.IndividualsconsideringtheWSQSpecialistDiplomainOHshouldalsobeself-directed,passionateandcommittedtoethicalpracticeinOccupationalHygiene,receptivetochangeinthelightofnewevidence,possessananalyticalmindandameticulousapproachtoproblem-solving.

IndividualscanopttoundertaketheWSQSpecialistDiplomainOccupationalHygiene(SDOH)orchooseselected units as modular training in accordance to theirneeds.
WSQ SPECIALIST DIPLOMA IN OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE (SDOH) The OH Professionals WSQ Framework consists of a single qualification,theWSQSpecialistDiplomainOH.
IndividualsmustfulfilthefollowingrequirementsinordertobeawardedtheWSQSpecialistDiplomainOH.• All8CoreUnits;• 2ElectivesUnitsfromGroup1;and• 1ElectiveUnitfromGroup2

UponawardoftheSDOH,individualswillberecognisedascompetent to discharge the duties and responsibilities of anOHOfficer.

COURSE DURATIONThecoursedurationfortheWSQSDOHrangesfrom308–344hours.Thecoursedurationformodulartrainingrangesfrom8–40hours. MODULAR TRAININGModulartrainingisavailableformostofthe20unitsunderthis framework so that individuals can choose to undertake selectedunitsinaccordancetotheirneeds.
ASSESSMENTIndividualswillbeassessedforeachunitthroughvariousmethodologiessuchaswrittenquestioning,writtenassignment,casestudies,practicalsandoralquestioningetc.
AStatementofAttainment(SOA)willbeawardeduponsuccessfulcompletionofeachunit.
