Aquatics ~ Red Cross Programs
Please visit www.bcmud.org/aquatics and click on the ‘American Red Cross Courses’ link for specific times, Brushy Creek locations and more information for each course. A schedule with specific course information will be sent to participants a week in advance of each course start date. Additional training classes are available for groups of 3 or more. For additional information, contact [email protected].
This course certifies partici-pants as Ameri-can Red Cross Lifeguards, the most in demand lifeguard certi-fication in the United States. Participants that successfully complete the course will receive a Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR/AED, and Administering Emergency Oxygen certification valid for 2 years. This is the required cer-tification to work as a lifeguard for the Brushy Creek Aquatics Department as well as numerous other pools/aquatic departments in the area.
This course is open to previ-ously certified American Red Cross life-guards whose c e r t i f i c a t i o n has expired. Partici-pants who successfully complete the course, will receive a certification valid for 3 years. A fast track option is avail-able for participants who complete the online course at www.usaswimming.com.
