Letter from the Chair Dear Fellow Chief Executive Officers: GBA’s Annual President/CEO Conference will be held Oct. 11-13 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro. The Community Bankers Committee has planned an excellent conference to provide you with timely information in a great location. The conference will begin Sunday evening with a reception and dinner at the hotel. On Monday, Jim McAlpin will give us tips on bank director management, a panel of experts will provide an update about M&A trends and valuations and John Ashford will give us a fresh look at the 2016 election campaigns. In the afternoon, there will be social networking opportunities. On Tuesday, Lindsey Piegza will provide an economic update and Edie Lindsey and Jay Mullins will share recent developments and best practices for 401(k) risk management. I’m sure you will learn something valuable to take back to your bank and the Conference is a perfect time to network with your colleagues from across the state.
