Spirit Day: Be BOLD and wear BLUE & GOLD tomorrow. Help your class win the Spirit Eagle & earn a prize from the PTO.
Box Tops Due: Collecting Box Tops is an easy way to raise money for the PTO. The classroom that collects the most box tops will earn a prize from the PTO. The deadline to turn in box tops for the first incentive from PTO is next week.
Character Counts! Assembly: The students will attend a Character Counts! Assembly next week. Thank you to the PTO for helping support this assembly. This year, students will enjoy a Three Screen Assembly! Three large screens are assembled together to create a 43-foot wide video wall that utilizes state-of-the-art sound and video projection to captivate the attention and imagination of students. Music and movie action draws them in as they absorb moving stories that show how people can make a positive difference now to avoid negative choices as they grow older.
Red Ribbon Week: The last week of October is Red Ribbon Week! Erickson Elementary School will have a Spirit Week in honor of Red Ribbon Week and our commitment to staying DRUG FREE (Please refer to the attached flyer).
Socktober Fundraiser: Erickson will participate in a SOCKtober event. We ask that students donate new socks the entire month of October. Refer to the flyer in the Express for more information.
After School Clubs: There are many outside organizations that offer clubs at Erickson Elementary School throughout the school year. Click here to view flyers & info for clubs offered after school.

FAMILY PUMPKIN NIGHT DUE: RSVPS are due TOMORROW! Join us next week 10/24 from 5:30-7:30pm for a night full of fun for the whole family! Decorate & write a story about a pumpkin, make a taffy apple, dig for prizes & more! And don’t worry about dinner - the Doctor Dogs Food Truck is back!

OCTOBER DINE OUT: Our Taco Tuesday Chipotle Dine Out Night will be NEXT WEEK on Tuesday 10/22 from 5-9pm at the LAKE STREET location.
FUN RUN: The 1 Mile Fun Run is back & we will once again be supporting the Wounded Warriors Project! The run will take place on Friday 11/8, directly after school. $5 from every registration will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org Teachers, students & parents are all welcome to participate in the run. Entry is $15 - all participants will receive snack, T-shirt, and medal. Please see flyer & sign-up by 11/1.
BOX TOPS DUE NEXT WEEK: Clipped Box Tops are due next Wednesday 10/23! Don’t forget to turn yours in! Who will win the 1st classroom prize?
THANKSGIVING FEAST: We are working hard on planning this annual event. Please see the attached letter for the history of this amazing tradition.
BOOK FAIR: Thank you to everybody who shopped our Fall Book Fair! And a BIG thank you to Jessica Lynch for coordinating the Book Fair & all of the parent volunteers who helped to staff it!
PTO DUES: If you have not paid your PTO dues, please submit envelope marked Erickson PTO, with family last name and student first name. Please remember, dues are $20 per family. Dues go towards costs for classroom parties, help to provide for the many activities throughout the year & more.

Grade levels will compete against each other by donating new pairs of socks. The grade level with the most pairs of socks will earn a sock
hop. All donated socks will make a huge difference in the lives of our neighbors who are
homeless.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on November 25, 2019 and November 26, 2019.
Online sign up will be open from September 12 at midnight to November 20. After November 20, please contact the school office.
In order to register on the PTC Wizard parent website, please proceed with the following:1. Open the link (https://er13.ptcwizard.com/parent/) and click on Create Account! button 2. Fill out the form you are redirected to: type in your first name, last name, email address
and a password you would like to use to log in to PTC Wizard 3. Once you click on Register, you will be redirected to Add A Child form - fill it out and hit
SaveIn case you would like to add more than one child, you will be able to do so in Account settings once you log in (right top corner of the screen).
● After you hit Save, you will be prompted to give your consent to receive letters from PTC Wizard system via email (schedules, notifications about appointments being booked/canceled, etc.).

The Halloween Parade and Room Parties are scheduled for
Thursday, October 31st. Any student attending Erickson
Elementary School is able to participate in this event. All
family members are welcome to attend the parade at
approximately 1:30 pm (the parade route will travel outside
the building). Due to safety & security, the number of
parents able to attend the classroom party will be limited to
six (6) individuals. If you are interested in volunteering for
the Halloween Room Party, please contact the head room
parent for your child’s classroom (see list below). If you do
not have the contact info for the room parent, please contact
[email protected]. Thank you for understanding
that the safety and security of the students at Erickson
Elementary is our number one priority.
