29th Sunday in Ordinary Time October 20th

That we may be persistent in our stewardship, even when

it is not convenient or comfortable. “…proclaim the word,

be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient...” 2

Timothy 4:2 It is not always convenient to be a good

steward, especially when all the temptations of our busy

and materialistic world get in the way. Now add our own

pride and ego into the equation and living a stewardship

lifestyle may be downright uncomfortable! Remember, God

didn’t call us to be comfortable. He called us to be faithful.

First Saturday Mass of Reparation

All are invited to join us at 8:30 AM in the St. Joseph

Chapel for Mass, the Rosary and 15 minutes of meditation

afterwards as requested by Our Lady of Fatima.

Gifts Registry

The Gift Registry is available at the Welcome Desk for

reserving special occasions throughout the year to bring

the Gifts to the altar during Mass. All you have to do, is

write your name down for the Mass date/time you

choose. We do request appropriate attire be worn. When

the date you have selected arrives, before Mass begins

please confirm with an Usher you are present at Mass to

take the Gifts to the altar. An Usher will give you

instructions for bringing the Gifts to the Altar.Thank you

for participating in the Mass. If you have questions,

please ask an Usher at any of the Masses or contact

James McConnell, Hospitality Ministry Chairman at

[email protected].

Hospitality Ministry/Ushers

We are fortunate to have a large and vibrant parish family

at Mary Queen. It takes several ministries and many

volunteers within each of those ministries to conduct each

Mass. The Hospitality Ministry/Ushers are an integral part

of the Mass. Each Mass has a team of Ushers they

serve at all weekend Masses, as well as special Masses

throughout the year.Mary Queen needs more volunteers

to serve our parish as Ushers at all the Masses. If you

desire to join a ministry, but are unsure about which one

prayerfully consider serving our parish as an Usher. It is

a rewarding service open to men, women and

responsible children. If you have questions, please ask

an Usher at any of the Masses or contact James

McConnell, Hospitality Ministry Chairman at

[email protected]. Thank you for considering our

ministry.
