What Should My Child Bring?

Children are required to bring their morning tea, lunch and a refillable drink bottle. We are an allergy-aware school. Please be mindful in providing food for your child that does not cause an allergic reaction or anaphylaxis, such as nuts.

Children will also need a hat and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and enclosed shoes.

A unique exercise, sports coaching and development program for children aged six to 12. The activities are fun and engaging, involve game-play situations and emphasise the important of teamwork. Kidz N Sport helps every child advance their skills, fitness and love of playing sport.

Workshops for multiple age groups will run concurrently, with a maximum of 36 students in total.

Building is Awesome - Emmet’s Adventure (Age 5+)Emmet, Lucy, Unicorn Kitty and Benny need the help of your young LEGO master to stop Bad Cop and Lord Business from supergluing the world. In this engaging workshop, your child will put their engineering skills to the test as they build motorised models, 3D figure models and mosaics. They’ll love these awesome models based on the LEGO® movies.

Imperial Force WeDo 2.0 Junior Robotics (Age 7+)This workshop is the ultimate combo for today’s tech savvy kids... LEGO® bricks fun combined with computer programming. Using drag-and-drop icon-based software, WeDo® 2.0 software provides an introduction into the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip your child to succeed in a technology-based world. This fun, action-packed workshop combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!

Remote Control Dragster & Tank Mindstorm EV3 Advanced Robotics (Age 9+)Experience the cutting edge of technology with the introduction of LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 advanced robotics. Your budding engineer will be captivated as they program directly into the intelligent brick to command the newest generation of motors, sensors and software... then use the remote to control steering and sound effects. They won’t want to leave at the end of the workshop.

Stop -Motion Technology (Years 1 and 2)Is your child a great storyteller with a passion for film and creative flair? How would they like to produce the next blockbuster LEGO movie? Here’s their chance to learn how. Working collaboratively in small groups, students workshop short story ideas and refine scripts for their animation production. Using LEGO kits, whiteboards and other creative tools, students build their own characters and set, ready for filming. With guidance from the expert Fire Tech tutors and using iPads with the latest stop-motion tech, students learn how to film their movie, record voiceovers and produce their film. Every student will finish the day with a short film they have created to take home.

Cost: $160

Digital Music (Years 3 and 4)Whether your child is a budding composer or a complete novice, this workshop takes them through a wide variety of technical skills and music theory. Your child will learn the tools to create fantastic music and explore a variety of music genres to spark their curiosity and passion. This holiday workshop provides a relaxed and fun environment for young people to explore trending music software, utilise digital keyboards, and kick-start their creative journeys. No prior musical experience necessary.

Age: 5 to 12

Digital Photography (Years 5 and 6)Does your child have a passion for photography? Enrol your shutterbug in this digital photography course where they’ll learn all the key functions of a modern DSLR (digital) camera and how to use it to create great images worthy of framing and putting on the wall. We’ll provide cameras and go through the basics of composition and shooting. Plus we’ll work with photo editing software to organise, process, edit and retouch photos. Finally, we’ll show them how to export and store their photos to print and hang on your wall. All they need to bring is their creativity and curiosity (and their own camera if they wish).

Calling all Minecrafters. Our Minecraft camps are designed for 6 to 14-year-olds who love Minecraft. We use laptops and the Java version of Minecraft to progress through several purpose-built worlds building all the time on what they already know as we teach the ins and outs of the game. A lanyard, workbook, post camp videos, online courses and downloads are all included. The best day ever for your young Minecrafter!

CampTime: 9.00 am to 3.00 pm

Age: 6 to 14

Cost: $80Do you have a child who is a Harry Potter enthusiast and also loves baking cakes? This workshop will teach them the magic and secret tricks of creating super impressive cakes that will have their friends and family astounded. In this one-day workshop, each child will create a large Harry Potter cake and four delicious cupcakes, which will be taken home to be shared and enjoyed with you. Allergen friendly cakes can be provided on request, so all are welcome!
