CHURCH CLEANING COORDINATOR: needed to make the schedule for the volunteers. Please speak with Father Greg or call the office if you would be willing to do this. The CLEANING ANGELS are still needed to clean the church especially through the fall and winter months. You've done a beautiful job keeping our church sparkling clean and your time and efforts are so appreciated.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR, SATURDAY DEC 5TH RAFFLE BASKETS are due by Nov 15th! That’s less than a month away! You may be inspired to create a basket of tea and

accessories, or a car wash basket, etc. The possibilities are endless. You may also donate a single item. In the past we have had a small Norfolk Island potted pine and a cold beverage decanter, to name a few examples. Just keep the value of your basket or item under $50.00. No restaurant gift cards and no alcohol please.Please bring your baskets or other raffle items to the rectory.

BAKERS take note! PIES, BAKED GOODS, ETC. WE NEED THEM! Please contribute your specialty to make our bake sale a success!

THANKSGIVING BASKETS for needy families in Ashford. Please donate non-perishable Thanksgiving dinner foods. We cannot distribute out of date food. There

will be a sign-up sheet for frozen turkey donations and we will also collect money for purchasing fresh foods. Last year we provided dinners and additional food to 18 families.

Daylight savings time ends Sunday, November 1st. Be sure to set your clock back on Saturday night!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR HAITI Denise Pillion travels to Haiti with a group from St. Mary's Haitian Ministry which supports a secondary school in a remote farming village. The students need school supplies. Please bring pens, pencils, calculators, and plain backpacks for high school students. No notebooks, please: too heavy. There is a box in both churches for collection. Thank you!

WHEN YOU ARE PLANNING YOUR ESTATE, please consider putting St. Philip or St. Jude in your will. Leaving a donation is a wonderful way to be remembered while

SAFE ENVIRONMENT CALLED TO PROTECT This is a national program adopted by our Bishops to educate adults in making our parishes safe especially for our children. All CCD parents & guardians for new and already registered students, new ministers, readers and other interested people are invited to participate in this program. All new teachers and CCD volunteers are obligated to participate in the safe environment education. We offer an online program. St. Joseph’s Living Center, The ONLY Catholic healthcare facility in the Norwich Diocese, is seeking volunteers to join our chapel team assisting during 11 am daily Mass ESPECIALLY on the weekends. PARENTS DIVORCING AND/OR RESOLVING CHILD

CUSTODY ISSUES – participate in the court suggested Parent Education Program. Are you concerned about the effects of divorce, separation or family disruption on your children? Catholic Charities offers ongoing, monthly one day Parenting Education Classes in Norwich, Rockville and Middletown. A monthly 2- part Spanish/bilingual parenting education class is held in Willimantic. Attendance at both sessions in the Willimantic class is required for the certificate of completion.
