Trick or Treat With UNICEF It’s that time of the year again when Key Club partners up with UNICEF to raise money

and help children all around the world. This year, the money that we raise will be used to support

The Eliminate Project. The eliminate project provides resources to support the elimination of

maternal and neonatal tetanus, a highly preventable disease that takes away the lives of many

children and women each year. Not only will you be fundraising for a good cause, but you will

also earn some easy hours!

For every $5 that you earn, you will be given an hour of community service.

*UNICEF boxes are due on Tuesday, November 6th, at the next general meeting.

On October 26th, many friends, families, and Key

Clubbers met in Downtown San Jose, where they spent

their evening walking to support those who are battling

Leukemia and Lymphoma. Not only were the streets of

San Jose beautiful around that time of the day, but it

was also an event that was truly memorable. Seeing the

streets crowded with people who supported cancer

patients was a heartwarming sight.

On October 7th, Key Clubbers woke up early in the morning

to set up their water stations for the marathon. At around 8

AM, we were prepared to cheer and hand out cups of water

to all of the amazing runners. To make things a little more

fun, we even had a little competition over who could hand out

the most cups. It was tiring having to wake up so early, but

we still had fun, nevertheless. Who knew we would end up

having a spirit battle against Santa Teresa’s Super Villains?!

California came to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to

raise money for PTP by “purchasing” LTGs & members

of the district board in an auction. We also competed

against other divisions for the spirit stick, and the 12

East Superheroes (that’s us!) came in second place!

The amount of Key Club spirit in the amusement park

was overwhelming! After the rally, we went on rides

and ate delicious, overpriced food. Despite the heat,

it was an awesome day, and we highly encourage you

all to attend next year! :D
