Message from your vice president
Hey Key Clubbers! I hope you had the most amazing month of October! I know I did! From the start to the ends! Starting the month off with UNICEF boxes then going to amazing community service events like Light the Night and Fall Rally North! Not to mention going Trick or Treating on Halloween! Make sure to brush your teeth! C: and don't get cavities! And there are such amazing things to get ready for in November! Like the due date for early registration for College apps for you seniors! It also marks the final push to the end of first semester! Not to mention it is a time to be thankful for everything that we have. It's a time to thank the food that you have to eat, the roof over your head, your friends, and your family. We have a lot of things to be thankful for. I hope you all enjoy the month of November! C: Rachel Tan 2012-2013 Vice President
Message from your class directors
Hey, Sixers! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We hope you had fun dressing up and eating lots of candy. October seemed to fly by so quickly, but it was still an amazing month nonetheless: Homecoming Week, Light the Night, FRN, SF Giants winning the World Series, and still much more to come in November! Good luck to all of you taking the SAT this Saturday! Stephanie Tran & Melody Valdez 2012-2013 Junior Class Directors

Trick or Treat With UNICEF It’s that time of the year again when Key Club partners up with UNICEF to raise money
and help children all around the world. This year, the money that we raise will be used to support
The Eliminate Project. The eliminate project provides resources to support the elimination of
maternal and neonatal tetanus, a highly preventable disease that takes away the lives of many
children and women each year. Not only will you be fundraising for a good cause, but you will
also earn some easy hours!
For every $5 that you earn, you will be given an hour of community service.
*UNICEF boxes are due on Tuesday, November 6th, at the next general meeting.
On October 26th, many friends, families, and Key
Clubbers met in Downtown San Jose, where they spent
their evening walking to support those who are battling
Leukemia and Lymphoma. Not only were the streets of
San Jose beautiful around that time of the day, but it
was also an event that was truly memorable. Seeing the
streets crowded with people who supported cancer
patients was a heartwarming sight.
On October 7th, Key Clubbers woke up early in the morning
to set up their water stations for the marathon. At around 8
AM, we were prepared to cheer and hand out cups of water
to all of the amazing runners. To make things a little more
fun, we even had a little competition over who could hand out
the most cups. It was tiring having to wake up so early, but
we still had fun, nevertheless. Who knew we would end up
having a spirit battle against Santa Teresa’s Super Villains?!
