A Message From Your

Lieutenant Governor

THE KANG KEY Volume 1, Issue 5 | October 2011

Hey Division 1,

I hope that everyone is preparing for a very Happy Halloween! Key Club

week is just around the corner, and I hope that everyone is collecting for

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! The New Jersey District’s Fall Rally was on

Sunday, October 9th, and Division 1 won the coveted Spirit Stick which

was beautifully made by Division 16’s LTG, Diana Hirst. Great job, Divi-

sion 1! The clubs will all get a chance to have the Spirit Stick, which will

be passed around throughout the remainder of the service year.

This issue of The Kang Key has a lot of information for you to

share with your clubs! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me

at any time. See you all very soon!

Yours in Caring and Service,

Cecilia Kang

ON SUNDAY, OCTOVER 9TH, ALMOST

3,000 Key Clubbers from all over the New Jersey

District gathered at Six Flags: Great Adventure to

Swing Into the Jungle of Service! The weather was

absolutely beautiful, and the energy that the

members brought was fantastic. During the Gen-

eral Session, each division had the opportunity to

show its spirit and pride!

The new Kiwanis Committee and the Ki-

wanis District Governor of the New Jersey Dis-

trict were introduced. There were also great guest

speakers at Fall Rally like Sylvia Allen! The NJ

District Board also talked to Key Clubbers about

many informational things including our District

Project, Major Emphasis, and Dues.

Fall Rally ended with excited members

rushing out of the stadium to enjoy the park and

to have a great day with their fellow Key Clubbers.

Everyone was definitely more excited and in-

formed about Key Club! Be sure to ask questions

about what went on at Fall Rally if you were not

able to attend this year.

Officer of the Month!

The Officer of the Month for the Month of October

is Pleasantville Key Club’s President Mihir Jani! Mihir

has been doing an excellent job with keeping in

touch, holding general meetings, and strengthening

his club. In the absence of his club secretary (who

recently moved and is now a part of another school

district), Mihir has filled out and sent in his club’s

CMRFs as well. Mihir has also been doing incredibly

well with getting things organized and done

efficiently. Keep up the great work, Mihir!
