Current Project Status
➢ Carpenter Elementary- Project- Chiller Replacement. Demo around the chiller was completed the week of August 28th. Chiller replacement will take place once we are through cooling season.
➢ Lake Orion High School- Project- Replacement of 6 heating boilers and 2 domestic hot water boilers with heat exchangers, replacement of 2 Chillers. Installation is 90% complete. Boilers should be ready by Friday October 13.
➢ Scripps Middle School- Project- Replacement of 3 heating boilers. Installation is 90% complete. Project- Drainage Improvement- The back of Scripps we are adding drain tile to handle stormwater that has made its way into the building. This work was completed on October 6, 2017.
➢ Orion Oaks- Project- Replacement of 3 heating boilers with 2 heating boilers. Demo is complete. The new boilers are in place and installation is in progress, installation is 95% complete. They started filling the loop on Monday October 9th and will be cleaning the heating loop through this week.
Our goal is to have all Boilers operational by Wednesday October 18, 2017. Chiller work will begin as soon as we are out of cooling season.
Previous Project Status
➢ Lake Orion High School- Carpet replacement is complete. Paving and concrete replacement is complete. Additional ADA ramps are complete. Still waiting on ADA parking signs. Working on the punch list and clean up.
➢ Orion Oaks Elementary- Carpet and LVT replacement is complete. Paving and concrete is complete. Playground fencing is compete. Roof- the shingle replacement is complete. The stage floor was refinished. We are planning to refinish the gym floor over Winter Break.
➢ Paint Creek Elementary- Parent drop off sidewalk extension is complete. Gym floor renovation is also complete.
➢ Blanche Sims Elementary- Concrete and Paving is complete. Punch list and site restoration is in progress.
➢ Stadium Drive Elementary- Concrete and asphalt work is complete. Roof work is complete. We are adding a dumpster enclosure. The footings were started on 9/11 with a goal to complete by the end of October. We are replacing two light pole bases in the East parking lot. Work started on 10/9/17.
➢ Waldon Middle School- Asphalt work is complete. Installation of a concrete pad for the Royal Oak Recycling dumpsters is complete.
➢ Carpenter Elementary- Roof work is complete. Asphalt and concrete work is complete. We are planning to replace a small area of concrete at the entrance sometime in October.
➢ Stadium Drive Roadway- Asphalt and concrete work is compete. Punch list items are being addressed.
➢ Oakview Middle School- Sidewalk replacement is complete. Additional sidewalk replacement on the bus loop side of the building will take place in early October. Shingle replacement (Insurance

Claim) is complete, RTA- Roofing Technology reviewed the roof and a punch list was sent to Interstate Restoration.
➢ CERC - Roof work is complete. ➢ Football field storage building- Shingle replacement is complete. We are planning to re-shingle
the Soccer Press Box, waiting for a schedule. ➢ Moose Tree- Deck repairs are complete. ➢ Football Stadium entry- We are working on a plan to improve appearance while also keeping cars
off the sidewalks. *See sketch attached. Note we temporarily installed cement blocks that we borrowed from the Palace. This is to prevent cars from parking on the sidewalks near the concession building.
Schedule Status – Look Ahead
➢ We are preparing for Summer 2018 projects. Our first meeting with TMP and Foresite Design was held on 8/30/17 with Steve Hawley and Chris Bell. This was a kick off meeting for the replacement of the Turf at the Football Stadium as well as the Track and surrounding fence. We are scheduled to meet again at the end of October.
Budget Status Summer 2017 projects are on schedule and to date contingencies and allowances associated with these projects, have fallen within our established estimates for this phase of construction. We will provide a final report once we close out Bid Package 1 & 2. We are hoping to close everything out by the end of November 2017. *The budget report will be updated and provided upon closeout of projects to represent actual completed cost of the work. As new projects are estimated and bids are received we will continue to bring to the board for recommendation. No projects have been bid, or closed this month, so the budget report is not attached to this update.
