The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has designed

mortgage loan for Ethiopians living abroad and

foreigners of Ethiopian origin.

Who is eligible for Diaspora Mortgage Loan?

• Any diaspora whose age is 18 years

and above.

• Any applicant who can submit the following

documents during loan application:

o Residence and/or work permit;

o Renewed passport for non-resident

Ethiopians or renewed passport and

yellow card for foreigners of Ethiopian

origin;

o Two latest passport size photographs;

o Marriage certifi cate, or otherwise;

o If applicable, power of attorney, copy

of ID and 2 passport size photographs

of the agent(s);

o Employment letter showing annual

gross and net income from employer or

• አመልካቹ በንግድ ሥራ የሚተዳደር ከሆነ፤

• ቢያንስ የሦስት ተከታታይ ዓመታት የሂሳብ ዝርዝር

መግለጫ፣

• የታደሰ የንግድ ፈቃድ እና የንግድ ምዝገባ የምስክር

ወረቀት፣ እና

• የግብር ክፍያ ምስክር ወረቀት ማቅረብ ይኖርበታል።

• አመልካቹ የመኖሪያ ቤት መሥሪያውን ወይም መግዣውን

ቢያንስ 20 በመቶ በውጭ ምንዛሪ ማስገባት አለበት።

• ባንኩ የሚሠራውን ወይም የሚገዛውን ቤት እስከ 80 በመቶ

ወጪ ያበድራል።

• ብድሩ በባንኩ ተቀባይነት ባላቸው የውጭ ገንዘቦች (የአሜሪካን

ዶላር፣ የእንግሊዝ ፓውንድ ወይም በዩሮ) መከፈል አለበት።

የቤት መሥሪያ ወይም መግዣ የቁጠባ ሂሳብ የት መክፈት

ይቻላል?

• አመልካቹ በኢትዮጵያ ንግድ ባንክ ቅርንጫፎች ወይም

በሚኖርበት ሀገር በሚገኝ የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ በአካል

በመቅረብ ወይም በሕጋዊ ወኪሉ አማካይነት የቁጠባ

ሂሳብ በመክፈት የብድር መዋጮውን መቆጠብ ይችላል።

• አመልካቹ የሚፈለግበትን መዋጮ እንዳሟላ የብድር

ጥያቄውን ለማንኛውም የባንኩ የኮንስዩመርና የቤቶች

ብድር ማዕከላት ወይም ከአዲስ አበባ ውጪ ባሉ

የዲስትሪክት ቢሮዎች ማቅረብ ይችላል።

የቤት መሥሪያ/መግዣ ብድር ባህሪያት

• የብድር አገልግሎቱ ለመኖሪያ ቤት መሥሪያ/መግዣ

የሚውል ነው።

• የብድሩ መክፈያ ጊዜ ከ20 ዓመት ሊበልጥ አይችልም።

• የብድር መዋጮው የሚሠራውን ወይም የሚገዛውን ቤት

የመሀንዲስ ግምት ቢያንስ 20 በመቶ ይሆናል።

• የወለድ ምጣኔ ቢያንስ በዓመት 8.5 በመቶ ነው።

• ዳያስፖራው ያለበትን ቀሪ እዳ ያለተጨማሪ ክፍያ በፈለገበት

ጊዜ አጠናቆ መክፈል ይችላል።

ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያውያን የቤት መሥሪያ ወይም መግዣ

የብድር አገልግሎት አቅርቧል።

በዚህ አገልግሎት እንዴት ተጠቃሚ መሆን ይቻላል?

• ማንኛውም ዕድሜው 18 ዓመትና ከዚያ በላይ የሆነ ዳያስፖራ

የብድር ጥያቄ ማቅረብ የሚችል ሲሆን፣ በሚያቀርብበት

ጊዜም የሚከተሉትን ሰነዶች ማሟላት ይኖርበታል፤

• የመኖሪያ እና/ወይም የሥራ ፈቃድ፣

• አመልካቹ ኢትዮጵያዊ ከሆነ የታደሰ ፓስፖርት ወይም

ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊ የሆነ የውጭ ዜጋ ከሆነ የታደሰ

መታወቂያና የትውልደ ኢትዮጵያውያን መታወቂያ (ብጫ

ካርድ)፣

• ሁለት የቅርብ ጊዜ የፓስፖርት መጠን ያለው ፎቶግራፍ፣

• የጋብቻ የምስክር ወረቀት፣ ወይም ያላገባ ከሆነ ይህንኑ

የሚያረጋግጥ ሠነድ፣

• ብድሩ የተጠየቀው በወኪል አማካይነት ከሆነ የወኪሉ

የታደሰ መታወቂያ ኮፒ እና ሁለት ፓስፖርት መጠን ያለው

የቅርብ ጊዜ ፎቶግራፍ እና የውክልና ማስረጃ፣

individual tax return; (Optional)

o Copy of employment contract, if

applicable;

o Bank account statement for at least one

year from foreign bank;

o If the applicant is a business person s/he

shall present

• Financial statement for at least three

consecutive years;

• Renewed trade licence and trade

registration certifi cate; and

• Tax payment certifi cate.

• The applicant shall raise in foreign

currency, equity contribution of at least

20% of the cost of the residential house

to be purchased or constructed.

• The bank shall fi nance up to 80% of the

cost of the house to be purchased or

constructed.

• The loan shall be repaid in USD, GBP and

euro.

How to open Mortgage Savings Account • The applicant can open saving account

before hand and save for his/her equity

contributions in person or through his/

her agent at a nearby branch of the

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia or through

Ethiopian Embassies.

• Upon fulfi lling his/her equity contributions,

the applicant can lodge his/her loan request

to any of the bank’s Consumer and Housing

Credit Processing Units and Outlying District

Offi ces.

Features of the Mortgage Loan• Purpose:- Purchase or construct residential

house

• Loan period:- Maximum of twenty years

• Equity contribution:- Minimum of 20% of

the house to be purchased or constructed

• Interest rate:- Minimum of 8.5% per annum

• It is possible to settle the loan at any point

without additional charge.
