STUDENTSANDMATHEMATICS:CHOICEDIFFERENCESBETWEENMALESANDFEMALES

Theattitude towardsmathematicsbetween twogroupsof421boysand539girls,selectedatrandominasurveyamong1stand2ndclassstudentsofGreekUpperSecondaryhighSchools(Lyceum),arecompared.Resultsindicatethatintheoverallsampleboyshavemorepossitiveattitudesthan girls, but between boys and girls planning to follow relevant tomathematicscarreers,girlshavemorepossitiveattitudes.Findings suggest that in early adolescence preference on mathematics isrelatedtosexroleconsiderations,butnottoachievementinmathematics.1. , .:1. . , , .2. , , . .1 . 2,
