本資源選介以香港的舊照片為主題，透過圖書館資源及互聯網所搜尋推介的資料，和大家分

享香港由百年前的漁村至今時今日國際大都會之間的轉變的珍貴照片，讓你從中回顧那些年

的人、事、情。

資源選介內選列了香港公共圖書館的參考及外借館藏，你可在圖書館目錄搜尋其所屬圖書館

及館藏狀況。

This resources guide serves to give you a glimpse into the pictures of Hong Kong, from a small

village to a metropolis, with tales and memories, selected from our Library resources and from the

Internet.

The titles listed in this guide are reference and lending materials of Hong Kong Public Libraries. You

are welcome to check library catalogue for their locations and status.

How to search the relevant Library Resources on Hong Kong old photos

圖書館就有關香港舊照擁有豐富的資源。以下將簡單介紹如何透過圖書館目錄及多媒體資

訊系統，搜尋與「香港舊照」相關的圖書館資源。

The Hong Kong Public Libraries houses a vast array of resources on Hong Kong old photos.

In this section, we would introduce the different ways in searching the relevant library resources

through our Library Catalogue and Multimedia Information System.

A. 圖書館目錄 – 書籍

Library Catalogue - Books

讀者可在館內或經互聯網使用圖書館目錄搜尋書籍。

Readers can search books by accessing the Library Catalogue in the library or via the Internet.

1. 進入香港公共圖書館網頁 http://www.hkpl.gov.hk，在「圖書館目錄」標籤， 按 。

Go to the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) homepage at http://www.hkpl.gov.hk,

select under “Library Catalogue”.

2. 輸入檢索詞，例如：「香港 舊照」，再按「檢索」。 Enter search terms, for example „Hong Kong old photos‟. Then, click „Search‟.

3. 另外你可使用進階檢索，以著者、書刊名稱及主題等類別進行檢索；選擇檢索的性質；

以一個或多個類別對檢索結果進行篩選。要進行進階檢索，按頁首「進階檢索」的連

結。例如以主題檢索，請選按「主題」，然後依指示輸入「香港 歷史」「攝影集」，再

按「檢索」。

The Advanced Search screen lets you search for terms using several categories, such as

Author, Title, and Subject. You may select the nature of the search and filter your search

results by using one or more categories. Select „Advanced Search‟ on top of the screen ;

for example, select „Subject‟ and input „Hong Kong history pictorial works‟ and click

„Search‟.

4. 從屏幕所列資料中，選按所需資料的名稱，以顯示詳細資料和館藏現況。

On the list of titles shown, click the one you requested for to display its full record and status.

B. 多媒體資訊系統：數碼館藏 – 照片

Multimedia Information System: Digital Collection – Photo Collection

多媒體資訊系統透過一站式平台為使用者提供不同形式的媒體資訊服務，包括早期香港報

紙、照片、地圖、影音節目、前市政局文獻、文化藝術的場刊和海報及有關本地文學、視

覺及表演藝術的剪報資料、電子書、圖書館出版刊物等二十多個館藏。

其中「照片」收藏自 19 世紀香港開埠以來的老照片，涵蓋範圍包括香港歷史建築、街道

景色、風俗習慣、節日慶典和民生面貌等。對研究及探索香港歷史、地區發展、社會生活

以至保存本地文化有著重要的作用。讀者可隨時隨地透過互聯網，進入多媒體資訊系統網

站閱覽「照片」館藏。

The Multimedia Information System (MMIS) provides a one-stop platform encompassing a

broad spectrum of multimedia materials including photos, maps, old Hong Kong newspaper,

news clipping, manuscripts, house programmes, e-resources… with over 20 collections at which

users can access.

The Photo Collection in MMIS includes old photos of Hong Kong dating back to the mid-19th

century, with themes on historic buildings, street scenes, social customs and traditions, festivals

and people's livelihood. It provides valuable reference for the study on the history of Hong

Kong, district development, social life as well as the local heritage preservation in Hong Kong.

In addition, readers can access Photo Collection round-the-clock in MMIS from the

Internet.

1. 進入香港公共圖書館多媒體資訊系統網頁 http://mmis.hkpl.gov.hk，點選「數碼館藏」。

Go to the Hong Kong Public Libraries Multimedia Information System homepage at

http://mmis.hkpl.gov.hk, select “DIGITAL COLLECTION” under “COLLECTION” at the

heading bar.

2. 在「數碼館藏」頁面選按「照片」，並進入「照片」主介面，現在你可選擇點選右上

角的「查看所有項目」以瀏覽所有照片，或輸入檢索詞，例如：「石硤尾」進行搜索。

Select “Photo” from front page of“DIGITAL COLLECTION” to enter the main page of

“Photo Collection”, you may now click on the “View all items” on the right to browse all

photos; or enter search terms in the search box, for example „Shek Kip Mei‟.

3. 從檢索結果中，選按所需資料的名稱，以顯示詳細資料。你可以管理檢索結果的每頁

紀錄數目和排序方式。你亦可以附加檢索條件過濾檢索結果。

On the list of titles shown, click the one you requested for to display its full record. You

can manage the search results by selecting options of Results per Page and Sorted By.

You can also refine the search results by entering additional terms or by specifying filter

criteria.
