As per 2012 survey by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare statistics

Shockingly 28.6% among boys aged between15-19, reported tobacco use! Around 15% were addicted to alcohol among boys in the same age group!

Among girls aged between15-19, around 5.5% reported tobacco use while 4% were addicted to alcohol in the same age group!

Four in every ten girls have their first sexual experience at the age of 13 or 14 years

By 15 years, about 13% of teenagers have had sexual intercourse

By the time they reach 19 years, 7 out of 10 teens have had sexual intercourse at least once
