Sub - Sanction of dearness relief on the Pension of the Pensioners ofthe State of Chhattisgarh.

The State Go ernment had sanctioned 125 % dearness reliefw.e.f. 01-01-2016 on pension/family pension to their pensioners/family pensioners videFinance Department Memo No.2301F-2013-04-00416IFinlRuleIIV, dated 21June, 2016. The State Government has now decided that the dearness reliefadmissible to pensioners should be sanctioned as given below. The additionalpension payable to old pensioners shall also qualify for dearness relief.

Period Rate of Dearness relief permonth

w.e.f. 01-07-2016 (Pension/family 1320/0of Pension/family pensionpension for the month of July 2016 paid -in August 2016)

2. The above dearness relief shall be payable on the Superannuation,Retiring, Invalid and Compensation Pension. This dearness relief shall also bepayable on. the Compassionate Allowance sanctioned to the employeesdischarged or removed from service and the said dearness relief shall also bepayable to persons receiving family pension and extra ordinary pension under

~ the restrictions contained in the Finance Department's Memo No.F.B.6/431761R-II/IV, dated 5-10-76. The dearness relief on the pension/familypension shall not be payable in the cases where the pensioner/family pensionersare appointed/re-appointed under the State Government or autonomousinstitutions. This relief on family pension shall be payable in cases where aperson. at the time of the death of the spouse was in service and was notappointed on compassionate grounds. This relief on family pension shall not bepayable in cases where a person on account of the death of the spouse has beenappointed on compassionate grounds. In this connection attention is invited to

the provisions contained in Finance Department's Memo No. F.B.6/l 0176/R-II/IV, dated 27-7-76 read with Memo No. F.B.6/101771R-II/IV, dated 2-5-77and Memo No. 211/379/FIR/IV/2007, dated 24-7-2007.3. Pensioners, who have commuted a part of their pension, shall be paid thedearness relief on their original pension (pension before commutation).4.· This order shall be applicable in respect of State Government employeeswho had drawn lump sum amount. on absorption in PSU/ Autonomousbody/Board/Corporation etc and have become eligible to restoration of 1I3rd

commuted portion of pension in terms of this Department's Memo No.144/97/F/RlIV/2007, dated 05-06-2007.5. Fraction of rupees of the amount to be paid as dearness relief shall berounded off to. the next rupee.6. All Treasury Officers/Sub Treasury Officers/Pension Disbursing Officersare directed to make payment of the above sanctioned dearness relief to StateGovernment Pensioners early, keeping in iew the amended provisions ofS.R.347 of the C.G.T.C. Volume-I, issued vide Finance Department'sendorsement No. E-4/l/831R-V/lV, dated 29th January, 1983. After payment ofdearness relief the same may be got checked from the usual payment authorityreceived from the Accountant General Chhattisgarh. If someinaccuracy/discrepancy comes to the notice, the same may be adjusted in thepayment on next month.
