Official event to present the guide book "Roma’s school failure anddropping out: a school for tomorrow’s Europe" in Spain
The Conselleria Educación, Investigación, Cultura y Deporte in relation with the Erasmus+ project:“ A BRIDGE BETWEEN CULTURES: a method on the necessary policies and strategies for Romastudents and their parents inclusion in Educational Systems” has organized an official event topresent the guide book "Roma’s school failure and dropping out: a school for tomorrow’s Europe".
This intellectual output is a practical guide in all languages of the member countries of the projectcontaining analysis about Roma’s school failure and dropping out, educational level and lifecondition of the Roma, education participation for Roma children, specific successful measures inorder to ensure that all Roma children have access to quality education.. The guide deals withensuring primary school completion, reducing the number of early school leavers and promoting theaccess to the tertiary education and answering the main lines of action proposed by the Europeanstrategy for social inclusion of the Roma population from 2012 to 2020.
The presentation was held on 7th January and the general director of Language Policy andMultilingualism, Rubén Trenzano Juan, handed the guide book to the different associations includedin the project as a local partnership: Asociación de Mujeres Gitanas Roma, FAGA Valencia,Federación Maranatha and Fundación Secretariado Gitano.
