Action Pistol
December 2018 Christmas Action Pistol Match
River Bend Action Pistol wrapped up our 2018 season with a match dedicated to Santa and all his elves. Six-ty one Action Pistol shooters came out to compete and do their best to rescue Santa and protect his elves from the Grinch. Judging from the match results, there were no lumps of coal left for RBGC Action Pistol shooters!
Bay 1 brought out not one but two Christmas Stars. Lots of festive colors and twirling presents to challenge even the best shooters. Lots of rounds of applause for finishing the stage without running out of ammo.
(Continued on page 8)

Action Pistol
Bay 2 had the first appearance of Bad Santa at Action Pistol. Run and gun and save the reputation of Jolly Saint Nick was the scenario for this stage. Everyone who enjoys an aerobic workout got their Christmas wish on this Bay.

Action Pistol
Bay 3 started under the Christmas tree opening presents to find the necessities to rescue Santa’s elves from those who would spoil Christmas. Santa and the elves were excited that all of the elves were saved……. with only a few minor injuries.
As is the Action Pistol tradition, the match was followed up with another great lunch. Our Grill Master, Russell Wynne, again cooked hotdogs to perfection, Mamiko’s brownies were the bomb and, if you were quick and lucky, Cliff Buckalew’s Jars of Goodness were superb.
And of course, the Action Pistol Door Prizes were kicked up a notch for Christmas and included even more ammo, cleaning goodies, a Super Nerf Pistol, and the Grand Prize – a Daisy Red Rider Carbine. Not only did Renee Livingstone not shoot her eye out, Derek Giddings succeeded in getting our match and door prize picked up by Daisy and posted on their Facebook page!! We’re even more famous now.
A heartfelt thank you to all the Range Officers and volunteers who made RBGC Action Pistol a success in 2018.
