Ohio Department of Transportation Office of Traffic Engineering October 21, 2011 To Holders of the OTE Standard Construction Drawings (SCDs) and Plan Insert Sheets (PISs): As of October 21, 2011, the Index sheets, seven SCDs (HL-30.41, HL-60.11, HL-60.12, MT-96.20, MT-101.90, TC-81.10 and TC-81.21), and three PISs (203010, 208522 and 2010175) have been revised. In addition, four SCDs received editorial/format updates. The updated drawings and the separate revision package are available from ODOT’s Design Reference Resource Center (http://www.dot.state.oh.us/drrc/), or from the Office of Traffic Engineering’s (OTE) website at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Operations/Traffic/Pages/OTEHomePage.aspx. From the OTE web page please use the Publications link on the left side of the page. The revision package includes a detailed Revision Log. SCD Index Editorial Updated per this revision.
HL-30.21 Roadway Conduit Details I Editorial Removed metric dimensions and made a couple spelling corrections in Note 1.
HL-30.41 Median Junction Box Change Removed metric dimensions, made minor editorial corrections, and revised the label for the upper detail from “Barrier Junction Box” to “Median Junction Box.”
HL-60.11 Pole Wiring I Change Removed metric dimensions, made minor editorial corrections, and revised references to “connector kits” to “connectors.”
HL-60.12 Pole Wiring II Change Revised the wiring for the light pole with “festoon outlet.”
MT-96.20 Details for Signalized Closing One Lane of a 2-Lane Highway
Change Removed the details shown for “Using a Pretimed Control” and relabled the remaining phase diagram “Detail “B” - Typical Signal Phasing.”
MT-101.90 Drop-offs in Work Zones Change Revised the titles for Condition 1 and Condition II by replacing “Multilane” with “Roadways.”
TC-51.12 Aluminum Bolted Extrusion Panel Sign
Editorial Updated the format and removed metric units.
TC-61.10 Delineator Details Editorial Updated the format and removed metric units.
TC-73.10 Pavement Marking Details Editorial Updated the format and made editorial corrections.
TC-81.10 Strain Pole Details Change Deleted the metric units; added the phrase “including Anchor Bolt details” in Note 4; and eliminated the two columns (on the right side of the table) which documented bolt sizes.
TC-81.21 Single Arm Overhead Signal Support
Change Revised Note 15 and added new Note 16. Also, the details in the drawing have been rearranged; the note about the rise for the arm has been revised; the pole detail has been edited to remove the lockwasher; and the arm in the main drawing has been edited to more clearly depict the overlap in the two pieces of the arm.

Index Editorial Updated per this revision.
203010 Power Generator Panel Change Deleted metrics; added new note 6 about the keyhole; revised “Line Voltage” to “LED Line Voltage” in the Front View of Generator Power Panel detail; and in the lower left detail, identified the “Line Voltage Indicator Light” as “(Red)” and the “External Line Voltage Indicator Light” as “(Green.” Also added a reference in the Front View Closed Door detail to the Keyhole cover.
208522 Overhead Signal Attachments, Span Wire
Change In Note 11, deleted “compression spring,”.
2010175 Impact Attenuator Placement Change In Table I, corrected the flare rate for 65 mph to 19:1.
