the Ice Breaker Tournament, at Mercyhurst, vs. Michigan and vs. Minnesota.

f The Buckeyes are fifth in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten in blocked shots per game (14.78).

f Gordi Myer leads the team with 37 shot blocks, ranking 14th (tied) nationally in blocks per game (2.06). Matt Miller has 2.25 per game (18), but has not played enough games to qualify for national rankings.

f Myer had his first two-point game since November 2017 with a goal and an assist Saturday vs. Colgate. He has a career-high three goals this season after scoring once each of his first three years.

f Ohio State's defensemen are averaging 2.28 points per game (10g, 31a, 41p). Wyatt Ege (3g, 6a, 9p), Gordi Myer (3g, 5a, 8p), Grant Gabriele (2g, 6a, 8p) and Matt Miller (2g, 5a, 7p) are leading the way for the Buckeye blueliners on the scoresheet.

BETWEEN THE PIPES f Goalie Tommy Nappier started 17 of the first 18 games for the Buckeyes, making 447 saves on 477 shots for a 1.78 goals-against average and .937 save percentage, with two shutouts. He is in the Top 10 in the NCAA in goals-against average and save percentage.

f His overtime save vs. Minnesota Dec. 6 was save 1,000 of his Buckeye career.

f Nappier's 25-save shutout last Saturday vs. Colgate was the seventh of his career, moving him into a tie for fourth in program history for career shutouts.

f Freshman Ryan Snowden played the third period at Penn State Nov. 23 after an injury to Nappier. The rookie, who entered with the game tied at three, did not allow a goal, making 15 saves, in a 4-3 victory. The game marked Snowden's first collegiate minutes. Snowden made his first start Nov. 30 vs. Michigan State and had 26 saves on 27 shots for the win.

f Prior to this season, Nappier had not started both games on a weekend for the Buckeyes. Last season he and Sean Romeo split starts each series until Nappier got the nod in the Big Ten semifinal and NCAA first
