YOUTH COURTStudents if you are interested in being a youth court volunteer, -pick up a application from Mr. Trice in the Guidance Office.

Youth court volunteers will prosecute, defend and serve as bailiffs and jurors in a real sentencing hearing of juvenile offenders in Shelby County.

ONLINE CLASSESOnline class registration is NOW OPEN!!!!!!!Please see Ms. Osman to register for an online class during your lunch or after school.

SENIORSIf you are receiving College Acceptance Letters and/or Scholarship Offers, please provide Mrs. Tipton with a copy in Guidance.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE………..Congratulations Overton High Orchestra Students -Journey Hogan, Jerald Walker and Kenneth Gillespie. Out of 5,500 hopefuls they have been selected to travel and perform at New York City’s Carnegie Hall (High School Honor’s Performance Series). They have also won spots in TN. All West & All State Orchestra.

OHS PRIDE

OHS Pride will hold weekly meetings every Monday from 3:15pm – 4:15pm. Come and join to be apart of an accepting environment. While discussing LGBT related issues and working on related projects.

FHAO STUDENT LEADERSHIP GROUPThe FHAO Leadership Group would like to invite students grades 9 – 12 to join them on their upcoming field trip to Washington, D.C. This will be a great way to spend your Spring Break. For details on the trip, please see Ms. Mosby or Dr. Taylor.

OVERTON HIGH LEADERSHIP COUNCILAbsences due to pre-approved college visits will not count against seniors for exam exemptions. Seniors must have approval from their professional school counselor prior to the college visit and must submit documentation of visit upon returning.

Student Government AssociationAttention: If you are interested in running for Basketball Homecoming, please pick up a form in the Main Office. Please fill out all lines of the form and submit to Mr. Hoots’ box in the Attendance Office before January 13. DO NOT TURN FORMS TO MR. HOOTS ROOM – THEY MUST BE PLACED IN HIS BOX!

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION

Anyone interested in the ISA field trip needs to turn in the $15 fee and form by tomorrow (Wednesday). Money needs to be turned in to Ms. Morgan in room 131.
