The Aquaskim B-400 belt-type oil skimmer, fabricated from stain- less steel, provides an economical means of removing floating oil from water-based cleaning solu- tions, machine coolant, and pro- cess fluids. The oil skimmer mounts with a flange plate for quick and easy installation. It fea- tures a right- or left-hand config- uration and ball-bearing shaft as- sembly. Almco's aqueous, computer-con- trolled parts-cleaning system combines washing and drying ma- chines with liquid filtration equipment in minimal floor space for maximum efficiency and labor savings. The system features a 24-in.-wide roller conveyor that 52 carries single parts or several on a rack. Filtration of the cleaning fluid is provided by an Almco cy- clonic system, which removes par- ticles down to 5 microns and tramp oils that produce bacteria and rancidity. When the solution is clean it is returned to the sys- tem for reuse in a process that improves part quality while re- ducing maintenance and disposal costs. BASF Corp.'s Industrial Coatings group has introduced Inova clear- coat, a one-component urethane- quality automotive coating sys- tem. Inova clearcoats are used with solventborne basecoats and have flexible and rigid applica- tions. The c1earcoat delivers per- formance advantages in gouge, scratch, mar, and etch resistance. Other advantages include exte- rior durability quality comparable to urethane-based clearcoats un- der the Florida testing standard and a wide application window.
